QUALITY/ FIT The quality of this jacket is a 6.5-7/10. This isn't the highest quality jacket but read this review to the end to get the full picture. The shell leans thin. The sherpa lining makes up for it in weight and warmth but the sherpa only lines the hood and torso. The sleeves are only the thinner shell material with light fill. The pockets and hood are zippered. The zippers are of good quality (rigid plastic) and glide effortlessly. The stitching seems fine, although I found a few stray threads, but nothing that compromises the integrity of the jacket. The body (torso) of the jacket has a loose fit. This isn't a bodycon jacket at all, but it isn't frumpy and shapeless either. The arms are long enough and the thumb holes in the fabric cuff are positioned comfortably. The jacket falls at the hip and is generally comfortable to wear. FUNCTION This is a cute jacket and is moderately functional in cold weather. Considering the thickness of the sherpa and thinness of the sleeves, this NOT a blizzard coat. It provides enough warmth for crispy fall or moderate winter weather. It really depends on where you live. This jacket won't cut it alone in harsh winter weather. At or below freezing temperatures, I would consider layering or reaching for a warmer coat. The beauty is that the jacket is cut with enough margin to allow for layering with thicker items underneath and not feel like a stuffed starfish. STYLE Again, the jacket is cute. It's attractive to both me and my daughter (10 years old) who wears it. I'm still considering purchasing the white jacket, as it would work well (aesthetically and functionally) as a gym jacket to shuffle in and out of the gym during cold months without hauling a big puffer that would need a locker all it's own to store. VALUE So, you heard 6.5/10 quality loud and clear. You may even be wondering why I still gave it five stars. That is because the price ($45) makes up for what quality or warmth lacks and fairly represents what you get. At this price, it's actually competitively priced for a medium-weight jacket. It's really affordable and could work completely in the right climate for the entire winter. None of the issues with quality seem like they will impact the longevity of the jacket, only climate suitability. So, I recommend the jacket, as long as you are aware that you are not going to withstand an entire Midwestern or North Atlantic winter in it without at least strategic layering. ... show more

While this jacket won't keep you warm in negative temperatures, protect you from blizzard level winds, or keep you dry in a fall rainstorm, it will keep you cozy in cool temps and dry in light drizzle. The Sheila lined fleece inner shell is comfy and cozy, creating a nice barrier between you and the outside. The thumb holes are a great touch, especially for the millennials who still cant fight the urge to put their thumbs in weird holes, and the hood is oversized and cozy. The jacket definitely runs large. I ordered my usual size and even with a heavy sweater on, the jacket has a ridiculous amount of room. I wish I had ordered in a smaller size! While this is marketed as a winter jacket, it most certainly is not appropriate if you live in an area with winters dropping below freezing. This will keep you cozy for sure on a brisk fall evening, but on your warmest snow day, you'll be wishing you had something longer and better insulated! For what it is, it feels a bit pricey, but if its suited for your weather and your budget, id say think about sizing down on this one. ... show more

This coat is warm, comfortable, and made with nice quality materials. I really like the soft faux fur lining—it makes it cozy without being too heavy. The detachable hood is a great feature, and the length is just right for keeping warm in cold weather, but trendy. The only downside is that the fit runs a little big and feels a bit boxy, my daughter is 5’ 6” and 105#, we got a small, which is why I’m giving it four stars instead of five. I’m also hoping it puffs up a little more, to make it look like a puffer coat, when we tried it on, it came straight out of the compressed bag. Overall, though, it’s a very nice winter coat and a solid choice for the price. ... show more
