Rather than using hands like on a typical watch, this one uses little steel balls. Under the face there are strong magnets that move as the hands of a regular watch would, but the magnets move the steel balls on top to show the time. It took a little time to get used to reading the time without hands, but now it's as instinctual as reading any other watch. With the steels balls only being connected by the magnets underneath, sometimes if you bump your hand or arm, the balls will come off the magnet, but they're in a channel and can't come out of the face, so you rotate the watch around and they'll go right back to the magnets and continue to function. I find myself intentionally knocking the steel balls off the magnet like a kid with a game. The watch is very solid and very heavy. Many color combinations to choose from so I can't say I won't be getting another watch in another color combination. Great watch, I highly recommend adding this one to your collection. ... show more

I was skeptical at 1st. Bought it, light weight and easy to adjust the links. The only issue I had was user issue the middle face had a chipped part from hitting it! The ball being magnetic wont fall out. However there is a chance. I am buying the metallic version now!

I was wary of this from the beginning after reading some of the reviews but knowing there are many people out there that just want to see the world burn, I thought I would give it shot. This was a mistake. After trying for several days, the watch just kept losing about 10 minutes every 24 hours so I finally returned it. Perhaps there's just too much drag on the magnet? For the price it's not bad. It looks good, I got a lot of comments about it, good remarks. It is definitely a conversation piece. Some of the minutes can be off. If you put it exactly on the hour, it will end on the hour exactly every time, but in between it can be off by as much as 5 minutes. The magnetic balls also fall more often than I'd like, it is hard to keep them in place sometimes from just the simple movement of turning the wrist to check the time. It also scratches pretty easily if you bump into a wall. That being said, for the price, I've received a lot of positive feedback. Good one-time purchase, probably won't do it again. ... show more
