Fan is powerful enough to circulate a 15ftx20ft room and cool it down very quickly. The wheels make it beautifully mobile, and the hose length allows you quite a bit of freedom. Not toention, it's QUIET! I was able to install it in about 5 minutes. My only issue with it was the hose is very flimsy. It would constantly bend out of shape while trying to "screw" it on. Wow! This little bit blows hard and very cold, it out performed my larger unit and the window attachment is way better, including the weather stripping. I recommend not peeling the adhesive off the weather stripping.

    • Loud metallic compressor ringing

The compressor on this unit is so loud. It has a metallic ringing sound and makes sleeping in the same room with the machine unbearable, which is what it was purchased for. Absolutely returning this. I've used a Samsung unit at an Air BnB before and all it produced is white noise, no compressor ramping up every 20 minutes. You get what you pay for here I guess. UPDATE: this thing is not portable either. In order to have a good seal you have to use the sticky foam on your window jams and that stuff doesn't come off easy at all! I have to go buy a special cleaner to remove it from so my window can close. I really don't understand why this product has good reviews. ... show more

Works good will cool a bedroom or small office down. I bought 2 of these unit. Blows cold air, and vent outside. Dry mode is horrible doesn't really work. Disconnect duct and let hot air blow back in room. Room temp never really changed. Not much drainage. Cool mode does work well. HOWEVER read below before buying. WARNING! This is will be an issue for ALOT of homeowners. You need to realize this before buying these types of units. I was a mechanical contractor HVAC for over 20 years. I got these units last Friday. Ran than Sunday and Monday and Tuesday. Today is Wednesday..... My gas hot water heater (vents out b-vent), is creating a negative pressure in my house. So my hot water heater wasn't venting properly getting to hot and tripping my High Limit Thermostat. Upon inspection and after 10 resets i noticed hot exhaust (carbon monoxide) coming out my flue pipe. I took a lighter and it blew it out. Turned off the portable a/c units, the flame went in the flue vents as normal as it should. My house was built in the 70's, 40 years old so it's not air tight. But I can imagine homes today are much worse with the building restrictions at how everything has to be air tight now. So buyer beware. I'm sure opening a couple windows in different rooms will eliminate this. But it's can be counter productive on hot days. ... show more
