Works amazingly well. The fan is very powerful on full blast, and it cools down my bedroom very quickly. I don't think it would be great for a large open space as it is quite small, but for a bedroom or office space it is perfect. I can't speak for the longevity of the machine, as of yet, but it really does pack a punch. I only need to have it on for a short time to cool down my room for a while. Shipping was quick, too. The remote control is nice too so I don't have to get out of bed to turn it on/off or change the temp/mode. It is a decent price. Not the cheapest unit, but not overpriced by any means. It is quite loud on full blast but if you have a small room, you can definitely still cool it down on the lower fan speed no problem.

Works good will cool a bedroom or small office down. I bought 2 of these unit. Blows cold air, and vent outside. Dry mode is horrible doesn't really work. Disconnect duct and let hot air blow back in room. Room temp never really changed. Not much drainage. Cool mode does work well. HOWEVER read below before buying. WARNING! This is will be an issue for ALOT of homeowners. You need to realize this before buying these types of units. I was a mechanical contractor HVAC for over 20 years. I got these units last Friday. Ran than Sunday and Monday and Tuesday. Today is Wednesday..... My gas hot water heater (vents out b-vent), is creating a negative pressure in my house. So my hot water heater wasn't venting properly getting to hot and tripping my High Limit Thermostat. Upon inspection and after 10 resets i noticed hot exhaust (carbon monoxide) coming out my flue pipe. I took a lighter and it blew it out. Turned off the portable a/c units, the flame went in the flue vents as normal as it should. My house was built in the 70's, 40 years old so it's not air tight. But I can imagine homes today are much worse with the building restrictions at how everything has to be air tight now. So buyer beware. I'm sure opening a couple windows in different rooms will eliminate this. But it's can be counter productive on hot days.

Honestly this is a good ac and you don’t have to empty water for a long time I have had it two months and never drained yet. Coldest setting 60 which is chilly to me. Definitely a buy in my book. May get another for my parents.

The media could not be loaded. Honestly not worth the money. First it came to me late. Which wouldn’t have been that bad if it was actually something that was worth it. Noise level is pretty bad. Always sounds like something is blocking the fan. It came with piece broken on the side. Now getting into the functionality, it was pretty hard to hook up the hole to the window adapter. Had to get different one since the one they send wasn’t allowing the hose adapter to connect properly or stay in place when adapting it to the machine. As for cooling, it’s very meager compared to other ones that I’ve had in the past that were a fraction of the price. Furthermore, you would think for the price you’re paying you would get an AC unit that doesn’t need a hose to drain or the need to have a constant exit hose plugged in to work, but I guess not. It was just a headache to deal with overall and having to put everything back in and return it is going to be a long process. If you can afford it get something better with less noise and less aftermarket parts you need to buy.

We work from home and have a lot of equipment in one small room in the house. It’s also facing the sun during the day and unfortunately we don’t have any choice. Instead of blasting the central AC throughout the floor, we’ve been able to use this to give a little boost to our workspace. It’s moderately loud, but not overly distracting. We do turn it off during meetings, though. Recently our home AC stopped working upstairs during a week when it was over 90 degrees out and we couldn’t get anyone to come out to the house for four days. I don’t know what we would have done without this unit. It cranked along, day and night, and kept us at a temp we could at least sleep in until we could get the main unit fixed. We had to cut 8 inches off of the sliding arm of the window kit, to fit our 29 inch window. I think it’s far too big for most homes and I wish there were three sizes of extensions in the kit. Would make more sense than having to cut the one, plus then you could use it different windows as needed. I believe it’s so long because you can also use it vertically, but that’s probably the lesser used scenario. -Shortest length without extender= 26.6 inches -Shortest length with UNCUT extender= 37.75 If you’re anywhere in between you’ll need to cut the extender. Overall we’re happy with the unit. It’s fairly easy to move because of the wheels (but very heavy to lift) and compact too, so it will be easier to store than a window unit.
