First of all i was impressed with this unit from the unpacking. It was very secure and taped in the box. Once opened it was a little hard to remove from the box. ( I will store in the box) I put it all together in about 10 to 15 minutes the next day because it said to let it sit upright for 24 hours which we did. When I turned this thing on it was an Arctic blast and cool my living room down by 6° in 12 minutes. Very easy to operate. I did read some reviews about it being noisy but that standard for portable AC units and it’s only really noticeable when it’s on high. I have had much louder window units, which doesn’t really bother me because we only use them during hurricanes anyway. The remote is very intuitive. It has an app to connect to Wi-Fi which I haven’t done but I’m planning on doing so I’m probably gonna buy another one this week to cool my man cave Office down. ... show more

I was able to slowly carry this 40+ lb. AC unit up two flights of stairs in my townhome. The AC blows out cool air to help me sleep, so I am happy that I got it for that function. However... 1. It is really, really loud! I already sleep with a white noise sound machine, so I like a little background hum to fall asleep to. However, this AC sounds incredibly loud. It's probably suitable for an office, not a bedroom. 2. Attaching the exhaust hose on one end to the hose connector, and the other end to the windows kit adapter was the most difficult part of setup. Both end attachments are supposed to easily screw into the exhaust hose. In reality, it was very difficult to do that! I nearly gave up. 3. The adjustable window kit is either too small, or too large for a typical window! To compensate, I had to cut out a piece of cardboard to fill the gap (see pics). If I had used the provided extender, it would have been too wide for my window. 4. The base of the windows kit adapter is too large when placed to sit on my window sill. It forces an opening gap (see pics). In turn, the whole base is misaligned and gaps are evident everywhere. Horrible design. ... show more

It’s quiet and the door is closed at to make sure it’s cold and comfortable for hot nights. The installation was easy and I haven’t had any problems with it, and it was installed last year.     • AC unit broke but Euhomy made it right

AC unit stopped working at only 3 months old. I got an error code for the fan. I restarted a few times but over the course of the day it completely stopped working. I immediately called costumer support and was contacted by technical support within 48 hours. They brought me through some standard troubleshooting but I had already done all of it. Up until this point I'd been satisfied with the unit. After a few emails I was offered a new unit. To be honest, I was pretty shocked. In a couple of days it arrived. So grateful that Euhomy stood behind this broken unit and didn't stress me out during the process.     • It Cooled My Room and Heated My Temper

I’m not going to lie, setting up this portable AC made my butt itch. I don't even write reviews but i had to with this one. This had me sweating in this heat trying to put this together. I bought an portable air conditioner because I was tired of sweating, only to end up sweating even harder while trying to put it together. At one point, I felt like the AC and I were in a personal argument, and the AC was winning. By the time I finished dealing with the window panel, wing nuts, and exhaust hose, I needed the unit to cool both the room and my attitude. My biggest issue with this unit is the exhaust hose and window kit design. For the price I paid, I expected the installation process to feel simple, secure, and well thought out. Instead, it felt more complicated and irritating than it needed to be. I do not know who decided to change the snap-clip design, add wing nuts to the window panel, and require the exhaust hose to screw directly into the panel, but I would like a word with them. There had to be an easier way to design this system. The window kit requires more assembly than I expected. You have to line up the panels, adjust them to fit the window, position the hardware, and tighten the wing nuts while trying to keep everything straight. That is too much work for something that should slide or snap into place. The exhaust hose connection frustrated me the most. Instead of attaching the hose to the window panel with a simple snap-and-lock connector, you have to line it up and screw it into place. The hose is large, flexible, and keeps moving while you are trying to connect it. If the threads do not line up correctly, you have to stop, reposition everything, and try again. Nothing says “portable” like wrestling with a giant hose and threaded plastic while sweating near a window. This design also makes moving or disconnecting the unit more annoying. A portable AC should be easy to install, remove, and reposition. I should not have to prepare myself for another round of combat every time I need to disconnect the hose. For the price of this unit, I expected a cleaner and more polished setup. A snap-on hose adapter and a simpler window panel would have saved a lot of time, sweat, and frustration. The wing nuts and screw-in hose connection make the setup feel outdated and overengineered. Setting up a portable AC should not feel like a small construction project. The good news is that after all the irritation, the AC is cooling my room well. My room is getting cold, so I guess that is the consolation prize. The cooling performance is the main reason I am not completely disappointed with the purchase. The unit does its primary job, but the installation experience needs serious improvement. If EUHOMY redesigned the window kit and hose connection, this would be much easier to recommend. I would rate it closer to 2½ stars. The cooling performance deserves credit, but the window kit and hose connection need a serious redesign. ... show more

It’s very heavy so I didn’t think it would arrive intact but it did the driver delivered it on a dolly put it upstairs in my office that gets Southwest Sun and bakes turn this thing on. It works so much better than my Black & Decker unit. It cools the room down, which is pretty big within 20-30 minutes. I love it little noisy, but the good far out exceeds a little noise.
