Cons: If you’re using multiple cameras, you need to purchase a Home Base to get the most features from the cameras. Happy with alerts and quality of video and video downloads, with NO subscription costs. The app. is able to stitch video clips together like paid subscription services. I’m impressed with the app which works on IPhone and Android. Cons: When you purchase the Home Base…..Unfortunately, you have to buy an extended memory SSD card, to get all of the bells and whistles. This will cost you a bit more money. But it’s worth it because you can keep over a years plus videos without loosing them or being deleted. Overall: I’m happy with the purchase. In the long run…….I will save a lot of money regarding a subscription service, battery replacement and peace of mind.

This product makes a good "first security camera". It is fairly simple to set up, it works "standalone" and out of the box (after you charge its built-in battery), and Amazon gave me a good price. In its most basic configuration, it uses local-only storage. It connects to your wi-fi router, only so that you can use a phone or computer app to control it and to review what video it generates. Local-only storage is good for data privacy. But it also means that a thief could simply un-screw the camera and walk off with it. Once he moves the camera outside of your wi-fi range, you can no longer see the videos of him, that it got. This product is good for monitoring the behavior of animals, kids & delivery people, as you start to understand security systems and think about what you really want.

Love the solar power and how easy the installation was. Video quality is good and seems to hold a lot of video clips. Motion detection could use a little work, it thinks shadows are people when set to human only. I love the privacy option to block out neighbors from recordings. I wish the app was a little more user friendly though. Trying to get to some features seems like it takes a lot of digging around to find each time, whereas other cameras I have are much more user friendly on the app side.

I spent over $400 on what I thought was a full Eufy home security setup. I bought the HomeBase 2, the 5-piece sensor kit, smart lock, doorbell camera, outdoor camera, chime, and more. I expected to feel safe in my home. Instead, I got a system that can barely be heard and a support team that doesn’t even understand how their own products work. Only the HomeBase 2 makes a sound when the alarm is triggered. None of the sensors, cameras, or other components ring. Just one small box with a 100 dB siren sitting upstairs next to my router. I live in a two-story home. One day the alarm rang for hours and I didn’t even notice. Neither did my neighbors. What kind of security system is that? When I contacted customer service, I explained everything clearly. I gave them the facts, the issue, and the exact solution. Their replies were insulting. They asked me if I had tried turning up the volume. I had. They told me to try different alarm tones. I had. They told me to move the HomeBase, even though I clearly said it had to stay next to the router. Then they told me to use my doorbell camera as a siren, which is connected to a chime and would go off with every passerby. It’s not even linked to the HomeBase alarms. That suggestion made no sense at all. Then came the most ridiculous part. They actually asked me if my house had walls. Yes, my house has walls. That’s how houses work. If your product can’t be heard through a wall, it’s not fit to be called a security system. It got worse. They asked if my motion sensors and entry sensors made noise. These devices do not emit sound. They never have. It’s shocking that their own support team doesn’t even know how their products function. That’s basic information and they clearly didn’t have it. They also told me Eufy doesn’t make a separate siren. I had to send them a link to their own siren listed on Amazon before they even acknowledged it existed. I asked for two of them to be sent to me as a fair resolution. After dodging the request with emotional reassurances and irrelevant replies, they just stopped responding. To make things even more frustrating, one of the cameras I bought wasn’t compatible with the system. I only found this out through trial and error, because the product description doesn’t mention it. Nowhere does it say it won’t work. That’s on them. There’s no actual customer service number. You’re left emailing support reps who don’t read your messages, don’t know the products, and give you useless copy-paste responses while stalling you into silence. I handed them the solution. I explained the problem from day one. I did all the work for them. The moment I had an airtight case and knocked down every excuse they had, they disappeared. If you want a system that’s reliable, loud, and backed by people who care about your safety, this isn’t it. The design is flawed, the listings are misleading, and the customer service will waste your time until you give up. I regret buying this. You will too. Update: After weeks of trying to work with Eufy support, I was offered a refund that doesn’t even cover the cost of fixing the problem. I asked for two sirens so the system could function properly, or a refund to cover the actual price. They refused both and closed the case. Since I pointed out the siren was on Amazon, it was suddenly removed and now only shows up on their website. I gave them every chance to resolve this and they chose not to. Think twice before trusting this system to protect your home.

This camera I paired with my 4k cameras. You really ain't gonna see a quality difference really. It's very clear and as long as it's in a spot that gets sun it will never die. Mine are all solar powered and I have it set to record only when humans are detected so it ignores passing cars. It's never dropped a single bar since I've had them. So they're worth owning especially if you don't like messy cords. You can live view and speak through them as well. Live view will drain the battery but you'd have to just be watching constantly for that to happen.

I’ve owned a 4 camera Eufy security system for about 3 years. I purchased 2 of the S220s to replace my “front of house” older security cams. The solar charging works perfectly and the 2k image capability is great. The only thing missing is they do not have a security light that activates when the camera is triggered. You can get that feature on the next higher priced Eufy s230 cameras but it costs more. I love the Eufy system and these little camera gems are a cost-effective way to add higher resolution and solar charging to an older setup. Very happy with both cost and cpability!
