This is a product that I didn't know I needed but it makes life so easy. I now live in Florida and tend to get family and friend who like to vacation. I still have to work and having this smart door lock is great. They can come at any time and input the code to get in. I love the auto lock feature and the instant notifications. I have the wifi bridge and have not tested the sd card slot feature. Hopefully the doorbell and cameras can use the sd card for additional memory. Installation was easy. The hardest part was scanning the QR code. On the Eufy app there are about 3 locks shown. They all look the same and if you select the wrong one it starts off with a serial # and you have to input the rest. If you can't then you don't move to the next step. I was on hold with chat for like 15 minutes before I decided to select a different lock and it worked. My household consist of 5 people. I added 2 sets of fingerprints for each of us and the fingerprint reader works great. I had to add the fingerprints under my account because if I created an invite account to add each person's fingerprints I would have to create a pin/code for each. It wouldn't let me use my code that I created for the household. Hopefully an update can let me add family members to a household with their names and fingerprints instead of the way its done now. It would make notifications better by identifying who entered or exited the house. The smart lock also came with 5 keys in case of a lock out. I was so happy I did not have to go and make copies for my family. I highly recommend the Eufy wifi smart lock. Its awesome. ... show more

Pros- easy to install and works well initially Cons- doesn't allow to be shared with others, wifi gets disconnected very frequently within same house , if you are away from home you cannot operate through app as well

The app will not recognize the serial number or qr code, and it is rendered useless without the app. Guess I’m going to use the physical key and hope they actually support it with the next update, or I’ll have to return it. *Edit: Eufy customer support reached out to me and was able to walk me through the setup. Like somebody else said, the setup was confusing as there was an option for lock with built in wifi, which this apparently is not. I was very disappointed to find out that there is a version with wifi built in, yet this wasn’t it, even though I paid for a coupon and waited until it was released at the beginning of this year. Had I known there was an option with wifi built in, which is what I was led to believe this was, I would have purchased that one instead. Stay away from Eufy smart lock; the quality is just not there; after multiply tries, the lock will say that it's jammed even when there is nothing there for it to jam against. Eufylife support team was also of no use; they will ask you to provide the same thing repeatedly, and when you ask for clarification, they simply ignore you. ... show more

Overall very happy with this. Was able to install with my daughter in about 20 mins following the instructions and I’ve never changed a deadbolt before. WiFi bridge works without issue, fingerprint is great. Love being able to check door lock status from my phone, see door activity, remotely lock and unlock, and give friends and family their own access. Had given me huge peace of mind that i can let someone in if I need someone to check on my dogs in an emergency, and friends can now let themselves out and I don’t worry about locking the door after with auto lock set and their ability to lock from outside easily. Only two issues: event notifications on iPhone are not meaningful and you have to go in the app event history to see the real notification, and the auto lock locks when the door is open. I reported the notification issue to Eufy and am hopeful they’ll fix it soon. I will be reporting the auto lock issue and hope they’ll come up with a solution. For now I have to be really careful and make sure the deadbolt isn’t sticking out before I close the door if I’ve been going in and out to bring things in from the car. It’s happened multiple times that it locks while the door is open while on 1.5 min auto lock delay. I also would have preferred a chrome option to match my existing hardware but it’s not a dealbreaker. Update 3/27/21: The iPhone notification issue is now fixed on my iPhone 8 Plus as of a week or two ago. My daughter mentioned she never had this issue on her newer iPhone. Great product! Had the lock body installed in about 10 minutes. I had a bit of trouble getting the strike plate positioned properly. (It must be lined up perfectly for the bolt to operate smoothly.) The strike plate included with the lock is larger than a standard residential deadbolt strike. You may have to chisel out space if the strike needs to be flush with the frame. Works well with Alexa. I've had this lock installed for about a week and everything appeared fine. It was easy to install and worked great. After a week though it started telling me the included batteries were low and to replace them. I didn't think that was too big a deal, but as soon as I popped off the cover to replace the batteries, it reset the lock entirely. I put in new batteries and went through the setup again only to find out it wiped out all of the users pin number and prints I had added. Curious if it was a low battery thing, I just popped off the cover and it immediately reset again, wiping out everything another time. I can't be expected to re-enter every person's pin and have them re-add their prints every time I need to replace the batteries. That is unacceptable for this type of item so I'm in the process of returning it now to get a different lock. ... show more
