This product is amazing. I was dealing with a very heavy rash on my back which seemed to be worse after showering. I wasn't sure if it was eczema or some sort of allergy, but I have eczema-prone dry skin and 0 allergies, so I tried this product. (I'm now almost convinced it was asteatotic eczema but who knows, it's just a self-diagnosis). I applied it 3 times a day in the first few days and I started noticing the difference after the very first application. After only 2-3 days, I reduced frequency to 2 times a day. My skin got so incredibly soft (according to my partner, my back hadn't been this soft in all the time he's known me). After another few days, I used it only after showering for a while, but I eventually stopped because the problem didn't return. I am now using Eucerin Advanced Repair lotion and saving this one for the next serious flare-up. It solved my problem so quickly, it really did seem like magic. A MUST-buy for anyone with eczema. There is a little bit of medicinal scent but it doesn't bother me at all. The cream is obviously very thick, which I normally don't enjoy, but that's absolutely what I needed in this case. ... show more

I've gone through 2 tubes of this to give a verdict. I've used it everyday (so I am not reviewing for how it would help eczema flareups) and it does suffice although without "sealing it" with aquaphor, I feel like I need another application within a half hour of running the space heater without a humidifier. To be fair, I am on the hunt for something for dehydrated, eczema prone skin. I'm not too happy with Cerave creams, I've gone through 2 tubs but they're not moisturizing enough (Cetaphil on the otherhand, the tub of cream that you can get from Costco, performs better in this respect). What I'm trying to find possibly doesn't exist. Something that would garner a 5 star would likely have the properties of a hand cream without being poreclogging and hard to spread. A 6 star product (if I could give 6 stars) would be something that can withstand the comforter/pillow case from completely rubbing off (and waking up to feeling dry tight skin). ... show more

UPDATE: from 2020-2024 I am still using this product every single day in my daily skin routine. It is still the best heavy moisturizer I’ve ever used and I know it’s going to protect my skin from eczema or any other random dry patches, acne, skin irritations. It also gives me peace of mind when I use a new product, if I also use this I won’t feel the ramifications of a new product on my skin and my skin not liking it!! Still 10/10!! :) My face went through a really terrible rash episode. This fixed it soo quickly, my whole face was completely cleared up in less than two weeks. Ever since that, I have used this everyday as my ONLY skin care item. I don’t need anything else expect for this. It heavily moisturizes my skin and keeps me from breaking out (in rashes and in terms of acne). This is the best skin care product I’ve EVER used.
