I wanted to wait awhile so it's been over 4 months since I purchased on Amazon. I am 310 lbs and 6' and the bike is excellent fit while riding. There is some learning curves but I think it is much safer to ride than a regular bike. I have ran over walnuts and sticks no problem it was like they weren't there. Ridden it through Parks on flat area mainly but the suspension absorbs the bumps. The seat is very comfortable. I am almost 60 and with my weight I am not super flexible so I added a OneUp dropper seat for easier getting on and off and stops And because I really want my seat up high for the exercise (very big help). The only reason it is not a 5 star is because it is listed as a step through and because of the angle of the center it is not as easy to lift your leg through without your foot catching. I have not gotten the battery below 70 percent riding for a couple of hours on fairly level areas with a couple of good hills. I think if your a bigger person not so young this is a great bike. I think if your thinking your going to transport this big bike around on a car carrier it might be a little difficult it is heavy and long. It is impressive looking. The Lights are sufficient. I go over board and added a LED for the front and back for safety. I would make sure you wear a helmet you may find yourself riding at 25-30 mph if your in a hurry. Last but not least I am not qualified to say this is not a mountain bike for trail riding so don't look at the rating for that use. I used my bike stand to set it up it is pretty solid bike stand but it could not really handle the weight so you probably need 2 people to set it up. It is shipped with the forks do backwards with no warnings labels or indications as another reviewer listed, it is probably necessary to fit for shipping but it is not really clear in the directions or setup videos on youtube.com I watched a number of them but did not find any from the manufacturer. The quality of manufacturing is almost 5 stars also a few tiny paint flaws you can only see in the setup process. All in all it is a lot of bike. Not cheap but no cheaply made and a good value. Solid Kick Stand. I wish there was more options for security from Magicycle like a reasonable GPS deal with alarm and secure lock package. I purchased 2 bikes from Magicyle. Upon receiving them. I did not receive the correct bike. Trying to work with their customer service to get the bike I paid for has been most difficult. They will not give me a date of when I expect to see the bike I paid for a shipped or even confirmation that it will be. When you call customer service, you cannot talk to anybody. All you can talk to is a call center. When I asked if the correct bike would be shipped to me in time for a pre-planned vacation, I was told I should just reschedule my vacation. Now, my husband received his bike correctly and seems to like it. I just hope we don't have any issues because of how awful customer service is. ... show more

Love this bike. Supper smooth over bumps. I added a suspension seat post and the ride is so smooth. Rode up and down the mountain for 3 hours and still had over 50% battery left. Love the Deer

I bought The Magicycle Deer because it has rear and front suspension and I paid top dollar for it. There is not a motorcycle made that doesn't have rear suspension, and for good reason, I so I don't know why people still buy electric bikes without it, my ride to work and back is 14 miles up two large hills, each over a mile long. This bike does well on all but the steepest hill (6% grade) it still makes it but you need to pedal too. I'm 6' and 235lbs, with my lunch and change of clothes the bike is probably hauling 245lbs. At 14 miles its at 50% but that is 14 miles of level 7 (the highest boost) averaging 21Km/hr/12-20mph. The suspension of the Magicycle deer is the best of any bike I have owned and is as good as my street motorcycle (BMW LT1200). The only reason I didn't give it five stars is I wanted a 1500watt motor or the option to put a front hub motor on it. Dont get me wrong its a fantastic bike, and for over $2600 dollars it should be. Next I'm adding a wider rear basket to keep my lunch from falling off it, a front basket and then I'm adding turn signals and side mirrors, and a brighter head light and some blinking red lights in the rear, I'm also adding a goose neck extender to raise the handle bars a little more. Its basically a motorcycle with pedals, I'm getting a softer seat too. This is an awesome bike to ride to work, and I do everyday, going threw bumpy alleys, off curbs, hitting pot holes on the street, and crossing railroad tracks, I need to do all of it, and this bikes suspension does an an excellent job of cushioning those jolts, it makes riding to work fun and its fast, I cut 10 minutes off my time getting to work compared to my old electric bike, so I do highly recommend it for commuters, I think it would be underpowered for serious off roading though. The only problem so far, front and rear lights dont work. yeah the front and back light dont work and its really pissing me off for such an expensive bike....i'm still trying to contact the company to fix it. ... show more

This is the best ebike on the market for the price. I would recommend buying a Magicycle bike, and check for a local Magicycle dealer to help if you need it. They come with a 2 year warranty, and you will get a faster response from a local dealer than you will from the manufacturer.
