Bought these after trying out and returning a cheaper version of the ITW Fastmag holders, which didn't retain the mags at all when upended (note they were not real Fastmags). These Esstac's are of course perfect, easy to insert and withdraw your mags. My only wish is for one that has 2 AR mags & 2 pistol mags, but maybe that would get a little heavy all on one side of your belt. I mounted them to a Tacticon belt, which is probably the best cheap battle belt (and I mean cheap, it was $25). Love these! ... show more

If you plan on wearing this directly to a belt like a Ronin Belt, then it’ll be fine. If you plan on running it on a battle belt or one that runs over the pants, then I suggest getting the gap version to allow the mag pouch to flex more. Otherwise, great product! I’ll probably get the gap version to allow the pouch to bend to my waist better. ... show more

I looked at so many different brands, but this was definitely the best choice. I can shake my belt as hard as I want and those mags will go nowhere. But it’s easy to rip them out during training and drills. Will buy again if I ever need another.
