  • Amazing product and support!
Color: Black
Price is outstanding for what you get. Keep in mind that these can mount on helmet and are very light for that but still very good quality. I actually don't know how they can do this quality and customer service at this price point! I fooled with this right out of the box and it was intuitive to operate. But the directions and a video on the net highlighted all the controls and features. Highly suggest the video. The same night i was watching wildlife cross my property that I could not see without the nightvision. The infared light is very adjustable! (This saves battery as you only use what you need) the distance the infared goes is incredible. No kidding! Optics is impressive. The Electronic viewfinder ID also the level of light is adjustable AND the cap has a pin hole in it so you can be quite stealthy if you have to add you can view even with the cap on. It's very condors in the hand and the controls are easy to get used to and operate in the dark. I used this quite a bit testing it out. This is a no joke battery in this thing! It's the size of a AA but 3.7V 750mAH 14500. For most this is all you'll need. But if you're a heavy user a second battery is a nice option. A battery saving trick is to use a genuine infared flashlight. Amazon. And turn off the on board IR light. It's one button recording for picture and video. You can remove the included sd card and transfer photos. Or plug the nightvision right into your computer. Ok so soon after it arrived i got email tips and directions from the seller. How outstanding is that!? So I had some questions and seller was quick to help and answer and remind of the outstanding warranty. I highly suggest this nightvision. You'll be pleasantly suprized at what you get and how truly able it is at turning night into day on the down low. True night vision! Do not try to use in bright sunlight! Darkness only! I'm pretty satisfied with the ... show more

  • I wanted to see what was in my yard at night
Color: Black
I purchased this with the hopes of seeing what was eating our plants, however I found that there was not enough range with them. I tried them on a night with a half moon and as I looked around it seemed like it didn't have much range, even with the illumination light turned on it doesn't have the range I was hoping for. I found the menu and buttons were not very intuitive. I had to keep referring back to the book even after using it several times. I haven't tried it with a full moon yet, the ilumator improves the distance a little bit as well as the picture you see. The battery doesn't last long. After a few minutes of trying to find the right buttons and figuring out what to adjust and how to turn the ilumator light on and accidentally hitting record then figuring out how to stop recording, it had dropped to 3/4 battery. I scanned the yard for movement and what was close enough to see, I could see some stuff but no movment. I sat for a while and turned it on when I heard something moving and until I got through the menus whatever it was could have wiped out a plant. When I got it on and played around with the adjustments whatever it was had moved out of range. I guess I expected to much. Buy the pictures in the advertisement made it look like it had more range. The only thing I can think is they must have had good moon light to see that far. I think if you played around with it and learned the buttons and menu it would be easier and much faster to get it up and using it. I kinda lost interest in it and went out and got a led flashlight that not only lights up my yard it also lights up several others yards and the fields on the other side of the road. I feel like this is more of a toy, and as a toy it eats batteries. If it was not so hard on batteries I would have left it turned on and continued to scan for critters. I think it runs about 15-20 minutes on a battery. Maybe I got a lemon? Not sure. I don't have the stones to try and sell it to anyone else and claim it does anything close to what they say it will do. It will more then likely end up in the trash after the holidays. ... show more

  • Overall Pretty good night vision monocular
Color: Black
Overall Pretty good night vision monocular. Pros: 1) Pretty long range night vision not too difficult to figure out how to work the features. 2) CAN be powered up via a usb power bank (which greatly extends the run time before a recharge is needed). 3) Quality of captured photos/videos is pretty good day/night (if taken from a tripod). 4) It was very nice to see the included lens covers, power and video out cords/bag/and soft case for everything to store into. Cons: 1) The included manual is pretty much useless (but at least gives you a rough idea on things). 2) Because the picatinny mount is right over the Tripod threads, a regular tripod mounting screw is TOO SHORT for it to work (not long enough to reach the thread). a 1/4" bolt cut to size WORKS fine however. 3) The time/date stamp displays in very tiny RED text at the bottom left of the screen and is very difficult to see it. 4) ALL the buttons are at the top and do NOT stick out much (if any at all). This makes using the monocular very very hard (if not impossible) to use at night in total darkness. My Impression (and main reason I did not give this 5 stars IF the buttons on the top stood out more (a little easier to find in the dark) I likely would have given it a higher rating. As it is My fingers do not have all the feeling in them (Diabetic). ... show more
