I've installed a dozen dog doors. This one is by far the worst. Most dog doors are two pieces. You cut a hole and insert each section from the two sides of the door and screw it together. This dog door is not like that at all. To begin with the template is not sized properly. My screw holes barely had any bite and were at the edge of the hole. The inner and outer frame are flimsy thin plastic. The sleeve is not connected to either section. Instead the sleeve is 4 pieces of thin plastic that loosely fits in the sloppy hole. You must simultaneously squeeze both sides together, line up 6 screw holes, and line up the sloppy sleeve liner pieces in order for it to go together. It was a nightmare. It took me easily 3 hours and I'm a carpenter by trade and can build anything. So it's together. There is an air gap at the top of the door where the hinge is. I was able to cover that with duct tape. The door is actually pretty wind proof and the magnets work well. I do think that in a few days the fuzzy weatherstripping on the edge of the door will wear out. Time will tell. I think this is an upgrade to the soft vinyl flaps as those tear and curl inwards at the edges ND leak air. This is a better design but it's sooo cheap and flimsy. But, am I mad? Well I did only pay $45 for this thing so shouldn't expect to be a high end door. The installation was a nightmare. I kept telling myself this is a cheap door so don't be mad. If this thing fails I will update this review

it took me 2 hours to install it and I have good hands... it is made from cheap plastic, hard to fit, it will fit better on wooded doors but it will need a lot of adjustments, the screws are too long need to add spacers because it cut through the thin plastic... the better news is that after 1 day of use maybe 5 six times the door broke and I had to glue it back. now I am stuck with this because my door it already ruined

This installed fairly easy but feel very cheap. Very flimsy and door flap won’t shut all the way. It’s on an inside door so that’s okay but would not recommend this; especially for an outside door

I like the look, of a less clunky frame, around the flap. It fits almost flat on the door! I am not a, first time DYI, I have installed a toilet, replaced light fixtures, and and, pretty handy. The screws with this, were, ridiculously, long. It was suggested you take a hack saw to shorten them. 😬After a trip to the local hardware store, I found a substitute.
