When I have some extra time, playing around with coffee is a relaxing way to slow things down. I’ll open a different bag of beans, choose a grind setting, and pull an espresso to see how it turns out. With darker beans, I usually start around a familiar setting. If the espresso runs too quickly, I grind a little finer. If it comes through too slowly, I go a bit coarser. The 20 grind settings give me plenty of room to dial in different beans. It’s fun seeing how the same coffee can taste different just from changing the grind size, amount of coffee, or single and double shot settings. When I get the flavor where I want it, I’ll drink the espresso straight or add hot water for an Americano. Sometimes I’ll steam milk and go with a latte or cappuccino instead. This feels less like a machine that simply spits out coffee and more like having a small coffee station in my kitchen. I can experiment with different beans and settings at my own pace, and the process of dialing in a good cup is just as satisfying as drinking it.

This espresso machine comes with its own grinder. Just pour in the beans and press once to grind them. The grind size can be adjusted and it ensures consistent powder quality every time. The extraction pressure is stable, the liquid output speed is just right, the fat is golden and rich, and it is neither sour nor bitter. The steam wand for frothing milk requires a bit of skill, but after practicing a few times, you'll get the hang of it. Now, every morning, I have a latte with creamy milk foam and a barely-formed latte art. Besides hot coffee, it's also convenient to make iced Americanos in summer. The operation is simple. The buttons on the panel are clear. Choose the mode and press once to start. The water tank is large enough, and you don't need to add water for two or three cups. Cleaning is also convenient. Just rinse the handle, and the extraction head automatically flushes itself.

I got tis expressor machine as a gift for my sister, who loves her morning cup of coffee. The expressor machine is a perfect gift, as it can make the best coffee made from beans. The machine isn't hard to operate, and the included grinder makes it so my sister can easily grind up fresh beans to make coffee. There is a learning curve when adjusting the grind size, coffee amount, and tamping pressure, but the results improve quickly with practice. Espresso comes out rich and flavorful once the settings are properly balanced. The steam wand creates enough foam for cappuccinos and lattes. This thing does what it's supposed to. The built-in grinder is convenient—I can go from beans to espresso without cluttering the counter with separate equipment. The 20 grind settings give you enough range to dial in what you want, and I haven't had any clogging issues so far. Preheating is quick, which matters on weekday mornings. The steam wand produces decent foam for cappuccinos, though it takes a little practice to get the microfoam texture right if you care about that sort of thing. The touch screen is straightforward enough that I didn't need to dig through a manual. Water tank is a good size—I'm not refilling it constantly. Portafilter feels solid, not flimsy like some home machines I've seen. For an all-in-one setup, it's a solid choice.
