    • Amazing espresso machine!
It's been a little over a year now since I purchased and started using this espresso machine EVERY DAY, and it's amazing! In this time, it has paid for itself at least twice over in the money I save by not buying a daily coffee drink. I've not had any issues with the machine, the milk frother makes fluffy, silky foam, and the espresso is delicious with excellent crema. I use an equal mixture of 2 espresso beans - 1) Kicking Horse Cliff Hanger Espresso and (2) Lavazza Super Crema (both available on Amazon) OR Costco Espresso Beans, works great! The only "irk" I have with the machine is the seemingly poor design of the lid to the water container, which is located at the back of the machine, it does not seal - I guess it's just meant to sit of its own volition, which means it can be easily dislodged. But, other than that, it is a great espresso maker! Buy it, you won't regret it! ... show more

My husband has been wanting one of these forever and finally decided on this one. There's not a day that goes by that he doen't use it and comment on what a fabulous little machine it is. He comments on how well made it is, and how easy it is to use, but says it's very important to read the instruction manual before using. Oh, and of course it makes a fabulous latte! Just got this item today! I’ve always wanted a breville so I can make my own coffee and paid for a new one! However, what I got was NOT new whatsoever. The steamer was stained!! This is disgusting and a health hazard!!!

Overall, the machine itself is nice. I have no gripes with pulling shots, and although the steam wand takes some time to build up pressure I’ve been able to get good milk out of it. I even managed to make latte art! My only 2 issues are this: the portafilter this comes with sucks. It doesn’t hold enough coffee grounds to pull a double shot half the time and its a total pain to get into the machine. You’d be better off buying your own portafilter. The grinder has this issue where the beans will not fall into the grinder? So you might have to crack it open and push the beans around a little. Overall though, decent machine. ... show more

    • Disappointed. Inconsistent brewing
Was ok at first but within a few days, the brew was inconsistent in terms of volume of espresso that was produced. Didn't matter if we chose the single or double, the shot size was the same.

The pressure is just 2-3 when I try it. It attempted to comply with the instructions, but I had to add more than was allowed; as a result, it will now be 3–4. So I return it .

Simplistic controls. Received extra grinder as a spare. Had about a month and we use it every day.
