  • Perfect Crema
Very easy to operate. It creates the perfect sized espresso. I like that you can select one or two cups and you don't need to monitor it. You can let it do it's thing and it will shut off once it's reached the right amount. The crema on top is great. The milk frother is easy to use. I wish the nob turned a little easier. You have to give it a little more force than I'd like to. I wish the bottom of it had suction cups to stick to the counter, since when you remove the grounds container you have to hold down the machine to get leverage. Still love the machine though and it works great! ... show more

  • LASTED 6 MONTHS, DIRECTIONS WERE WORTHLESS, LEAKS EVERYWHERE
I will relate my experience with this purchase as truthfully as I can, moment by moment right after delivery. This item is the little less-expensive espresso machine that tried...but couldn't. First, be aware: that although the instruction manual is written in English, this is a Chinese manufactured unit, and as such, the directions for use are neither concise nor succinct. In fact, I found them to be downright confusing in most places. If a person fluent in the way English is spoken and written in American markets had been in charge, then figuring out what was meant by much of the instructions might have been less confusing. First complaint: upon unboxing and setting up, you'll notice a circular knob at the top. The direction this knob turns determines if you are "pulling" coffee or operating the foaming wand. In my case, the knob was effectively unmoveable. I spoke with a company representative and they informed me this sticking issue was a known problem that happens during shipping; their remedy suggestion: try exerting a maximum of force to "un-stick" the knob. I had been hesitant to try this at first because the entire unit is made of plastic and I was concerned I would break something before I ever got to use the machine. After I was successful in un-sticking the knob I went to make my first cup. I have my own conical burr grinder and I ground out enough beans to tamp down into the double holder. I filled the water tank to 3/4 the level to be safe and I followed the instructions. The coffee was extracted all right...but it was a long way from hot. It was only lukewarm. [every time I've used this machine since I have placed my pulled cup of espresso into the microwave in order to bring it up to a drinkable temperature]. The company claims the top of the unit can be used as a sort of hot plate. Not true in my case...it doesn't even get lukewarm. However, once I heated the espresso in the microwave, it produced a passable tasting espresso. You get what you pay for and I could live with this considering the comparatively low price of this machine. If including the extra step of warming up my cup of coffee in the microwave, well I could live with that in order to save a couple of hundred dollars. I'm a senior living on a very modest fixed income. Today is 6.27.22...six months and six days after I ordered this unit. Two days ago the unit started leaking massively. Whenever I pull the coffee, water pours out of the foaming wand in a strong stream. I examined the undercarriage of the unit, and the wand and extraction point areas and I could see no cracks or breakage anywhere. This means the issue lies inside of the machine someplace. This morning I had to make my coffee in a French press; and will be forced to do so until I can afford another espresso machine. And next time I will purchase a quality espresso machine. Yes, it will cost me several hundred dollars more, but at least I can be confident it won't break down and be unusable six months after purchase. Fortunately, this machine will still produce foamed milk when the knob is turned to make steam. This way I at least could enjoy foamed milk with my cup of coffee....a sort of faux-cappuccino. My advice: save your money and invest in a quality espresso machine, whether it is made in China, Italy, or anywhere. Beware these inferior plastic molded units. They are a waste of money. Live by the maxim: buy it once, buy it right. ... show more

  • Leaks from Reservoir after 6 months of light use
In the first few months the espresso machine worked great. Delicious espresso, and the frother made decent froth (though we have to run it twice; you can't froth enough milk for a 16-oz latte in one go). For the price we thought it was great. However, starting about 5 months in, I noticed that when I fill the reservoir that holds the water, it has a slow leak. After a half hour or so, water is all over my counter and the floor. I can't figure out where the leak is coming from. We clean the nozzle regularly and the espresso holder, so there's no backup happening from clogged nozzles. Product support severely lacking; all of the videos are for coffee makers, not the espresso machine. Not worth the money. Spend more and get a decent one. ... show more

  • Good starter machine
I wanted to start experimenting with lattes at home. After reading reviews I decided to give this one a try. It was a little difficult to figure out at first, but now we've been using it a couple months no problem! The machine doesn't heat the water enough, so I have to steam the milk longer to accommodate the temperature difference. I clean the steam attachment with hot water after every use and there is already noticeable wear on the inside. I am still really enjoying it and think it's a great start for my first one! ... show more

  • Espresso is watery and weak
I have had espresso machines for 20 years and this one makes the weakest espresso I have ever had...even when using the 2 shot filter. Foams the milk nicely. I bought this as an upgrade, returning and I will purchase the Sowtec machine I bought for my daughter.
