The phone holder is well constructed and deep enough to hold a cell phone with a flip cover on it. The spring loaded clamps are tight enough to retain the phone securely but not so stiff that it takes much effort to insert or remove the phone. I really like this design and have used similar on my bike before. The only thing I didn't like (which I thought I would) was the clamp to hold the mount to the handlebar. Specifically, I didn't like that it swung from one side and screwed down on the other. I was able to clamp it on tight enough, but it didn't feel as secure as some of the others I've used where the mount pinches the handlebars in a vice-like clamping mechanism. It's a minor nit to pick, and frankly, the only one I had with this product. For the price-point, this is an excellent product. I would recommend it to friends and would probably get it again, but if I could find the other style of clamping mechanism, I would prefer to use that instead.

This is a wonderful holder for your phone on your golf cart. We have used it for both iPhones and Samsung and it holds both securely without fear that your phone is going to fall. It connected well to our golf cart as described in the introduction.
