This thing SUCKS. It may be fine if you haven't yet had an actual Elite strap made by oculus. I have. This thing is super cheap. Installing it almost doesn't work, it doesn't quite fully click into place and hold. It falls apart during game play. The knob action is terrible. But most of all it doesn't like the shape of my head...doesn't quite "fit" right. For another $10, just get the real thing. This one is going back... ... show more

Pro's- Price, Light weight, comfortable. Oculus 2 out of box strap only allowed around 30 minutes of gameplay. This product I can play 2-3 hours of non stop VR. I highly recommend purchasing some sort of elite strap to really change up your VR experience as I am finally able to play FPS and Boxing games without my headset feeling like an anchor. Con's- shipping time, Cheap material. DO NOT LOOSEN HEADSET WHILE IT'S ON YOUR HEAD. This will break the strap. Instead, only loosen the strap when you take the headset off of your head. This will avoid strain on the springs that are inside of the headset strap. Conclusion: Is this product worth the price and the wait while being made out of cheap material? Yes, as long as you semi take care of your headset you should be in good shape. Also, if you intend of playing high intensity games I suggest buying a second face shield.     • Dangerous install—wish I’d gotten the Elite strap for this alone

Pros: - Arrived faster than the 2+ weeks predicted - Does relieve some of the weight—didn’t have as huge a dent on my cheeks as before—and gives a clearer picture because the headset fits better Cons: - A huge pain to install. The instructions skip key steps, with photos that are very small and don’t show you what’s happening. I got stuck putting in the last part (snapping the right piece in place) for some time, broke several sweats and almost broke the sound (that’s what it snaps onto) and/or scratched the lens (when I tried to push it in by force—the only way—and the whole thing slid against all the parts). I was very upset by the installation hassle. I don’t want to almost break my expensive headset that I waited over a month for because a third party accessory I bought for it is sliiiightly off-spec. For the extra $10 I should have bought the branded one and spared myself the anxiety. But I’ve got it on, finally, so I’m not going to go and spend another $50 on the name brand one now. - It’s a *bit* wide in a way that’s not adjustable. (My head is on the small side but not freakishly so; I wear adult sized hats!) But the thing stays on. I have it two clicks away from the smallest possible. ... show more

    • Buckles don't stay in place

First, very little explanation on how to uninstall original strap and install this one. Had to look on YouTube. Second, I was able to finally install it but the buckles won't stay in place. If you have a giant head maybe you'll have a better luck but for an average head, no way those buckles stay in, there's no mechanism for them, just a gap to insert them but they won't keep them in once you adjust the size. I'll be sending those back and ask for a refund. Look elsewhere. ... show more

This product sucks! We have had it for a week and the side part keeps popping out of place and the oculus drops to the ground. I’m surprised we haven’t broken it yet. We ended up putting the original headband back on. Total waste of money!!!

I am a 5'5" woman with a typical sized head but big apple cheeks (always have problems getting glasses because the lens will hit my cheek when I laugh). I also wear glasses and am prone to neck pain. I was getting headaches from the original Quest 2 headset because of the weight it put on the front of my face - no better or worse when I took off my glasses or used the plastic glasses-spaced provided with the original headset. Bought this and have only used it for a couple of days, but it is a significant improvement. The weight is more balanced on the back of my head (took much fiddling to get the strap to a perfect spot where it balanced the weight. So much easier to adjust than the original headset straps. I use a cpap to sleep and wish it fit as well as this headset. One issue I had was with assembly. I was watching the video and looking at the instructions and was at a total loss until I figured out you need to spin the wheel between steps 2 and 3 to get the straps to come out of the sides so you can clip on the adapters. ... show more
