Review Edit: This fell apart easily after just a few years of use if you don’t keep up on tightening bolts, it’s gonna fall apart pretty easily. I suggest getting a wood frame. I had two teenage girls on the bed one on the bottom one on the top and they were able to make the bedframe sway very often, and I think that ended up being its downfall. You need a couple more pieces of steel on here to make this things not sway. Yes they were fighting. OG post: This bed has been a lifesaver! It arrived in two boxes at the same time so we were able to complete assembly same day! It’s a little tedious to set up but my children were happy to assist their mother on a boring summer day. It doesn’t creak or make any noises at all for us, but I was sure to tighten bolts very well. It’s bigger than I imagined, taller than I figured, with a real sized top bunk mattress my 7 yr old just barely sits on her bed without bumping her head. We live in an apartment so maybe the ceilings are slightly shorter than a house would be? However my son has a bunk as well from a different company and is 11 and much taller than his sister and has more clearance above his head then her bed. My teenager sleeps on the Queen mattress and there’s been no issues with her comfort. There’s good clearance with a 9-10 inch mattress on that bunk for me and her, but we’re short, 5’3. I’m stunned how amazing this quality is. The brushed finish and square tubes are different but modern and my daughters love their new arrangement. There’s also plenty of room under the Queen for storage if needed, we have six underbed bins down their now and it’s been nice to have more floor space! Previously had two twin beds side by side in their room so this makes that problem disappear slightly, we now have a Queen size but it’s allowed for more area to walk in their room. All in all I’m very satisfied. The instructions were clear for the most part, if your no stranger to putting furniture together then you’re going to be fine! Have a helper though, I say at least two adults but the kids can be helpful too!

This is a GREAT bed frame - solid, sturdy. Takes two people to put it together - but it goes together easily enough. More than enough screws et al comes with it. Instructions are not especially clear - but if you take your time looking at them - easy enough to figure out. Extra space for guests with the queen bottom and twin top. The twin top is extra long, so if you buy this, you'll need an extra long twin mattress, as well as extra long twin sheets to fit. Amazon carries both of these items, too. If you need to move the bed, someday, you'll have to take some of the bed apart, not all of it.

Update 4 years later : After daily use by a rapidly growing teen this bed finally needs some TLC. The child is now 200lbs and a strapping adult, and a few of the metal slats under the bed have bent out of position. Probably best as a child's bed but it certainly held up well considering the abuse it took. We even had family visit and it had three adults sleeping on it for a weekend! Original review Dec 2017: I was looking for a twin over queen bunk bed for a room without too much success and was so glad to find this bed. In my case, the upper bunk is only used when we have visitors and need to use one of our kids' bedrooms as a guest room. The bed arrived surprisingly quickly compared to the shipping times posted online. However, after opening and assembling one the items in the box, we realized that there needed to be a second box with all the mattress bases to complete assembly. This was a little annoying since we had already given away my son's bed that afternoon. We assembled the frame, tossed his queen mattress on the floor and had him sleep there for the week that it took for the second box to catch up and arrive. So, if you order this bed and one big heavy box arrives, open it and make sure you have all the parts for the base before you build the frame! This is pretty much my only reason for knocking one star off this review. Assembly is super easy and the instructions are not too complicated. If you have assembled anything from Ikea you will be just fine assembling this bed. No squeaking so far it seems to be very sturdy. The queen latex mattress fits snugly and I have ordered a latex xl for the top bunk. I've seen other reviews mentioning some sort of cancer causing ingredient labeling on the product. The only warning labels on my package or bed related to the danger of getting wedged in the top bunk, horsing around irresponsibly and being too young for the bed.

I was in the market for a bunk bed. Queen sized because of my sisters bed (Who refused to down size making the search harder) With stairs (vs ladders) and decently priced. After two month of searching i realized queen bunk beds don’t have much options and are highly priced. In the end after weighing the reviews of multiple bunk beds I had decided to go with this one. So let’s jump into my review shall we The good -It’s a really nice product for the price. I mean $300 over $1,500 sold! -It looks really nice -Arrived faster that stated Ordered on: April 7, 2020 Estimated Arrival: April 31, 2020 Arrived: April 9, 2020 (TWO DAYS!) -Assembly is actually easy so long as you follow the instructions. No, the instructions are not confusing like many state. I’m sorry but you’d have to be really stupid to not understand a picture because that is LITERALLY the instructions PICTURES. The parts even come labeled for you. Both on the picture and on the actual parts there a white stickers labeled with one letter of the alphabet. The screws are labeled as such as well. -I can’t say anything about the squeaking as I don’t have a bed for the top bunk so I’m not sleeping on just it yet. My sister however has gotten cozy with her queen bed and fits nicely. -Theres a 8” storage under the bed - seems to be enough space to sit up right with out hunching over. I do have 8ft ceilings one the top bunk (again I’m not sleeping on it yet cause no bed) The bad The only complaints from me are: - the material seems to scratch sort of easily - THE SCREWS. Okay, no, you do not need a screw driver or drill but granted if you have one it will come in handy to speed up the process. For the screws you are given a L -shaped hex key wrench (man do I hate those) so assembling does take a while. For those of you who do not know: YOU CAN use both sides of that tool. My sister was not aware and was making her life difficult. 🤦🏻♀️ - some parts are labeled with the same letter so you have to be carful with that and you have to actually look at the part and examine it before screwing it in or you may put it on the wrong side or upside down (which we did ) so do use your eyes and common sense. All in all I am giving at a 5 star for -arriving fast - price/quality -easy assembling (when using common sense) - esthetics

So here's the story. I had queen mattress on which I sleep but which was in need of a frame. I had a full size mattress I had to do something with. I have a cat. I bought this so the cat could climb and play on the full size mattress. The frame does the job, but a single 10 lb cat playing on the upper level causes the frame to shake violently. I'm not concerned about anything bad happening, but I wouldn't recommend this for humans to be on the upper level. I was able to assemble it by myself in a relatively small room. It was a challenge, but I don't think it was designed to be assembled by one person. Two people would have been easy. The instructions weren't the best; in particular, identifying which types of screws went into which locations. It did have the correct components, including screws, and everything lined up properly.

Very sturdy and great design. It is perfect for my 12 x 10 bedroom. I also have a roll top desk, bookcase and keyboard that fit just right in the bedroom as well. My 14 yr old grandson is already 6ft tall and he has plenty of room to grow on the queen size bottom bunk and the full size top bunk gives my 11 yr old enough room for 2 more people at least. Well worth the money spent. Would highly recommend.

After six weeks of attempting to have VirVentures get me the two pieces missing from my order, I ultimately had to resolve it myself with the parts distributor. Since then, I have asked VirVentures for a partial refund, given all of the time I devoted to trying to resolve this issue, and the fact that I had to find a resolution myself because they were not able to do so. My purchase shouldn't have been missing pieces to begin with, and absolutely should NOT have taken six weeks to get the parts I needed. I further found that the product was missing two screws that I needed. VirVentures has replied FIVE TIMES saying they have "escalated my concern, and will provide an update", and yet I have received no update. I can only highly caution other customers from purchasing from this vendor, they clearly have not gotten their service levels up to minimum standards.

Due to a recent move I'm sharing a bedroom with my two kids. I didn't want to be on a full and have to buy a whole new mattress. I was hesitant on ordering a bed frame online without being able to see and feel it first. This one was a winner! The fact that it is a queen on bottom and a full on top is amazing. It took me and my sister about 2 hours to have it completely assembled. It wasn't too difficult... But I definitely could not have done it alone. The bed feel safe and sturdy enough. It does wobble a lot when I'm on the bottom bunk and my son is moving around up top, but that is to be expected. Definitely a great value for your money!
