Bigger sized shoes may only go three pair across but many will go four pairs across depending on the size. This probably would have only taken about a half hour to put together if it had better instructions, once I figured it out it was very easy to put together. I love that it is open at the top so I could easily put my boots there and place the cloth over it. Had enough space for all my shoes and extra purses/bags. It was very easy to put together, holds tons of shoes, and looks fine in the hallway. Overall, I am happy with it. My only issue is that the fabric is a bit flimsy. I put my high heels on their sides because the heels catch the fabric and I am worried it will eventually tear.
