  • An enjoyable hassle free project
Material Type: Galvanized Steel Roof Aluminum F... Size: 10'x12'
My gazebo is an Erommy 10 x 12 SKU XWG-213TN-3 ordered on Amazon. SHIPPING Shipping was fast and I received 3 boxes on 3 consecutive days. The boxes weigh approximately 70 Ib 110 Ib and 120 Ib. The packaging was fair but I thought it should be a little better considering the weight and the number of parts. INVENTORY To be honest I never did a full inventory there was just too much to have scattered everywhere so my inventory was more a case of inspecting for obvious signs of damage, there had been some movement during transit but everything appeared to be OK. TOOLS The must haves for me were an 8' step ladder, a 6' step ladder, a battery drill with torque control (I did most with a setting of 5) and a small set of hex bits for use with the drill. ASSEMBLY I assembled the whole thing on my own but I do recommend at least two people, some of the parts are long or require holding in place and require someone at each end. The base frame was quite easy, the roof was a little more challenging. The project was fun and I enjoyed it, it was not a race, I took my time over 3 or 4 days to completion and it came out looking good. CUSTOMER SERVICE I ended up short of 8 curtain hooks, Erommy mailed me 20 extra within a week of me contacting them. TIP The roof has many "tiles" that have a clip along one edge that help retain the tile in the frame, I had trouble keeping the clips in place so I put two 3/16 pop rivets in each clip (there are holes in the clips already). Just make sure the rivet is inserted from the bottom side of the roof tile. This worked for me others may want to try one to begin with to make sure they agree with the option ... show more

  • Amazing gazebo, difficult setup.
Material Type: Wood-Looking Finish Aluminum, Ga... Size: 12'x12'
(Overall review at the bottom) Shipping: The gazebo came in three boxes, with 2 shipments from FedEx. The two shipments were about one week apart, and all of the boxes had arrived within ~2 weeks after ordering. The boxes are about 100 pounds a piece, so be ready to receive and move them around, especially if you don’t have a helpful delivery driver and/or won’t be home during arrival. Setup: We had a team of three people to setup this gazebo, and it took about 10 hours over 2 hot days. We had a power drill ready with bits (a 4mm hex, 6mm hex, and a “medium” Phillips bit), and I would not at all recommend setting up this gazebo without them. The hand tools provided are helpful in pinch, but are simply not sufficient for complete assembly (though this is not at the fault of the seller). At least 2 people and a couple different height ladders were also necessary, especially when assembling the roof. The manual is very helpful, and no extra instruction was needed, it seems as though the manufacturer has taken care to note places where problems can occur and how to avoid them. The initial frame is very easy to setup, and everything goes together very well. Some of the pieces had to be shuffled a bit to get everything to fit properly given the tolerances, and everything is definitely easier to put together if you wait to tighten parts until right before moving to the next step. The roofing sheets are by far the most difficult step, as they are sharp, get very hot in the sun, and the clips are worthless without some extra modifications. NOTE: If you have a punch, it was incredibly helpful to lightly punch the clips into the metal sheets so that they do not slip off the sheets as easily. Before attempting to punch them, it took multiple attempts to put up one of the sides of the roof. Getting all of the holes, spacers, and bolts was very time consuming and at times frustrating, but the payoff was absolutely worth it. Missing parts and customer service: We realized that a part was missing during assembly. The missing part was a clip to keep the curtain hangers from sliding off the rails where they are inserted, and we were able to set the entire gazebo up without them. Customer service was very quick to sort out why the part may have went missing and were even faster in replacing them. Once shipped, the parts only took 3 days to arrive in the US(Michigan) from China. I am very confident that should any other issues arrive or a part become damaged, it would be easy to order a replacement, which is important given the average life of curtains and screens in gazebos like this. Overall: We have had the gazebo for a couple weeks as of writing this review, and we love it. It handles rain very well, and it has handled mild winds as well so far (it is anchored to a wooden deck). I will definitely update this review after stronger storms and the Michigan winter, but I am not concerned about its durability currently. While the price is substancial and the setup is very difficult, the gazebo is definitely worth it. I can not in good conscience give it 5/5 stars given the difficult setup, originally missing parts, some counterintuitive designs (especially involving the roof), and some loose tolerances that result in some minor visual defects given the price point, but I believe that a 4/5 is fair. This may change after we see how it stands up to a full 4 seasons of weather, but I would definitely recommend this gazebo so long as you are up for the challenging setup. ... show more

  • Not a bad piece at all!
Material Type: Wooden Finish Frame Galvanized S... Size: 12'x20'
I bought after having a few cocktails during a rain shower. Needless to say this thing is way bigger than I expected, but hey we’re going to stay dry now at the campgrounds. The negative it arrived on 2 different days and needed a signature for fed ex both days 👎🏼. Also had a bit of damage, that I was able to fix, no problem. Also the instructions absolutely suck. It’s only pictures and numbers. The positive, it took 3 guy building and 3 gals grabbing the parts and we had it together and sipping drinks in 7 short hours after opening the first box. I would strongly suggest having a large area to lay out every single piece. Making sure not to knock off any of the lettered stickers. (Roof panels did not all have stickers, but line them all up according to the cuts and you’ll be fine). Do not, I REPEAT DO NOT tighten any of the screws tight that has anything to do with mounting the roof. Just finger tight will suffice until all is assembled, then go back and tighten everything up. One, 8 ft, one 6 ft, & one 4ft ladder will help things along nicely. Get yourself a few 10mm ratchet wrenches and a few drivers with a slip clutch along with a 7mm allen socket. (Hint! The longest bolts they send go only through the roof into the rafters) ... show more
