  • Great Choice!
Material Type: Polycarbonate Size: 10'x13'
We were looking for a sturdy gazebo that is more "permanent" than a cloth or tent-like structure. We wanted both mosquito netting and curtains. We thought this one would be adequate. It arrived much earlier than Amazon predicted, which thrilled us. Upon opening the boxes, we were a little intimidated by the number of pieces. We located the directions to glance over the evening before we planned to put it together, to give us an idea of what we were facing with construction. The only reason I gave this only 4 stars for "easy to assemble" is because the instructions were only pictures. A little confusing at first. Once we realized how the instructions were directing us, we picked up steam in putting it together. The pieces were nicely packed and very well marked to coincide with the instructions. Even the screws were well packaged on cardboard and taped so they stayed in place until it was time to use them. The structure went together very quickly. The entire project took us about 5 hours. It was just the two of us working on it. There were a couple of times we could have used a third person, but we accomplished it ourselves. As it went together, we began to notice how well made the pieces were. One of the rails with a channel that the roof panels went in to was pinched a little on one end, but this was easily remedied with a pair of needle nosed pliers. One of the things that stood out to us as we worked is that where there were "seams", they included little "covers" so the finished product looks "finished". This gazebo is sturdy and very pretty. The mosquito netting and curtains are also VERY substantial. We couldn't be more thrilled with our choice and expect to enjoy this gazebo for many years to come. ... show more

  • Good All Around

I got this as a Mother’s Day gift, but wanted to use it all summer so that I could give an honest review. The assembly instructions were right on. It does take a a minimum of two people to assemble, 3 was much easier. The gazebo looks great. The top gives enough shade, but still gets light through it. It does lower the temperature. We used it rain and shine all summer and had no leaks. Now that fall is here we have put up two of the solid sides to block the wind and have found it to be a comfortable place to gather. After 5 months of use, it looks like new. ... show more

  • A bad purchase, stay away
Material Type: Polycarbonate Size: 10'x13'
I don't like this gazebo at all. I owned the previous model (same exact one, Erommy 10x13) which got destroyed this winter, so I needed a replacement. So I bought the same exact one, given that I was happy with the previous one (it lasted for 7-8 years). For starters it doesn't have the same footprint. My old gazebo was screwed into the patio pavers, so I was really hoping that the new one would have the same footprint but it didn't, it is 2-3 inches narrower! So there goes my patio pavers, they now have holes. The whole thing was harder to put together (parts didn't quite for, had to be forced, etc) , and most importantly, 4 J parts were cut incorrectly! I had to use the old panels from the old gazebo which had the right size, and I had to discard the 4 J parts from the new gazebo. Overall, this used to be a good product, but the new one is a piece of trash. I am never buying from this seller again. ... show more

  • A great little oasis. A great little oasis.
Material Type: Polycarbonate Size: 10'x13'
This was a project to install and took two days because we had a stripped screw and had to wait for a tool to fix it. The final stage had some parts that didn't meet correctly, and we had to force it a bit. We had a fierce storm come up out of nowhere, and it moved the gazebo a few inches, but it did not blow away, and we had some of our trees come down during the storm. The build is very sturdy, is it very functional and it looks great. We were able to match the color of the gazebo with our patio tables and chairs. We used it every day, and we are really enjoying. We will add more accessories as we go along. It feels like an additional room. We purchased the 10 x 13. ... show more

  • Best bang for your buck.
Material Type: Polycarbonate Size: 10'x13'
When I shop, I like to pay a reasonable price for a good quality product, no more and no less. After using a $150 cheap option a few years back, I wanted to get something sturdier and more permanent that wouldn't blow away with a casual 30mph wind gust. This is sturdy, quality built, packed and shipped correctly, and simple instructions. I believe I spent about 5 hrs on this over a few nights. Notes for those who like notes. I am fairly handy around the house, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and so on. That doesn't apply here. If you have put together your fair share of ikea furniture and other items that come with hex wrenches, this is what you will be doing. I used a star bit in a cordless drill to speed things up and this was worth it. Warning though if you have not done this previously, they don't want you to use a drill in many of these instances because you can turn it too far and break things, so keep it on low speed and set to trip on a low torque setting. The screws on the corners that I had to use the hex wrench for can be tricky. If some of the holes don't line up perfectly, just move/wiggle the things around a bit to get them to line up, might have to loosen another screw first to get the 2nd screw in. Be patient. This does not need 3 people to build, I did it myself with young kids helping from time to time. Its preferred to have 2 adults to hold things up high on step ladders and such but that only happens for about 15mins if you follow instructions. One last thing, follow the instructions, if you don't understand it, don't guess, just go back 1 page, review what you just did, then read slowly onto the next page, have all of your pieces laid out, look at them, use a bit of common sense to figure out how they belong together on the unit, and then the aha moment will come. I had to re-read a few of them to get it in my head before installing. This is normal and its not a fault of the manufacturer, its just the gap between maker and assembler. ... show more

  • A Challenge to Assemble- Plexiglas mostly Plastic
Material Type: Polycarbonate Size: 10'x13'
After losing our last fabric gazebo to a freak winter storm we decided to look for a reasonably priced hard-top one and located this one on Amazon. The product was delivered on time, in a matter of few days. My wife and I then set about putting it together on the weekend. While the claim is that it will take about 5 hours for a minimum of two people, unless you have the exact same unit and have experience with it, don't believe them. It took us about 10-12 hours of dedicated time to assemble this unit. Like most of these units it comes in many pieces and for the most part the pieces are easily identified. The instructions, however, are horrible like most products made in China. While some gazebo's have had someone do a You-tube video on assembling it, this unit had no such video to refer to. I would add that most of he aluminum pieces fit together pretty well, some of the braces did not and I had to take a drill to enlarge the holes so that two of the braces can fit square. There were also a few holes that were missing an insert making it a challenge to fully engage some of the screws. Also the Allen wrench that is given is cheap and after about half of the screws being put in I had to find other same sized Allen wrenches to finish the job because they got stripped putting in the screws. Make no mistake, it takes a minimum of two of you and at times three persons is a big help. The other issue I had was that the hardtop is not as sturdy as I had hoped. It feels like cheap plastic and getting it into the slides on top took some finessing without overdoing it and potentially breaking or mangling any of the units. Overall the metal seems strong enough and the unit seems square enough. I have my doubts about the hardtop and will see how it stands up over time. One other note about the hardtop, even though it is darkened, when the sun is over-top it comes through enough to be annoying if you are truly looking for shade. Our summers here in California are very hot so we will see how it does. Overall a lot of work to put together but it looks good and hopefully it will stand up well. ... show more
