  • Overall extremely satisfied!
Material Type: Polycarbonate Size: 10'×13'
I would say that there's no such thing as an "easy" gazebo to put together, but that being said, my husband and I got this together in less than a day (including time to go through and unpack the box and get everything in order. We were missing one set of pieces and a few others were a bit damaged, but I consider that to be more on the transport than the company. We reached out to the company regarding the missing and damaged pieces and they got the replacements sent to us, free of charge, quicker than we really expected considering how hectic shipping times can be in the world right now. With just the two of us, putting the gazebo together came together pretty easily. The instructions have no words, it's all images, but honestly makes it extremely simple to follow, one step at a time. We fastened it to our deck to make sure it won't fly away in wind, and so far it is holding up extremely well, and it is very pleasing to look at and sit under, and love that there is two hooks to hang fans/lights from. The netting and curtain work really well too. Makes for wonderful outdoor seating! ... show more

When I shop, I like to pay a reasonable price for a good quality product, no more and no less. After using a $150 cheap option a few years back, I wanted to get something sturdier and more permanent that wouldn't blow away with a casual 30mph wind gust. This is sturdy, quality built, packed and shipped correctly, and simple instructions. I believe I spent about 5 hrs on this over a few nights. Notes for those who like notes. I am fairly handy around the house, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and so on. That doesn't apply here. If you have put together your fair share of ikea furniture and other items that come with hex wrenches, this is what you will be doing. I used a star bit in a cordless drill to speed things up and this was worth it. Warning though if you have not done this previously, they don't want you to use a drill in many of these instances because you can turn it too far and break things, so keep it on low speed and set to trip on a low torque setting. The screws on the corners that I had to use the hex wrench for can be tricky. If some of the holes don't line up perfectly, just move/wiggle the things around a bit to get them to line up, might have to loosen another screw first to get the 2nd screw in. Be patient. This does not need 3 people to build, I did it myself with young kids helping from time to time. Its preferred to have 2 adults to hold things up high on step ladders and such but that only happens for about 15mins if you follow instructions. One last thing, follow the instructions, if you don't understand it, don't guess, just go back 1 page, review what you just did, then read slowly onto the next page, have all of your pieces laid out, look at them, use a bit of common sense to figure out how they belong together on the unit, and then the aha moment will come. I had to re-read a few of them to get it in my head before installing. This is normal and its not a fault of the manufacturer, its just the gap between maker and assembler. ... show more

  • Nice, sturdy gazebo
Material Type: Polycarbonate Size: 10'×13'
I normally wouldn't ding a product because it was damaged in transit but in this case the overwhelming majority of reviews said the product arrived damaged. The manufacturer should probably be doing something different in the way of packaging or shipping. The seller immediately sent new parts, so I'm happy with that. But I had damage consistent with other reviews - damaged rails that needed to be bent back into shape in order to slide in the roof panels, and the corners of the roof panels damaged in transit. So 4 stars. Overall this is well thought out and sturdy. It will take a minimum of 2 people to put together. Not because any part of it is really heavy, but because of the size. Instructions could have been a little more clear in some areas but overall weren't bad. It's time consuming to assemble but I wouldn't say difficult. I have it installed on a wooden deck and the feet secured with lag bolts. The corrugated, translucent panels let a decent amount of light through and still provide adequate shade. Despite not really having any seals or sealant between the roof panels, there are no leaks even during heavy rains because of the way the pieces fit together. I do see some moisture inside the panels but it does not make it inside the canopy and it dries out with the sun. And it survived the worst hail storm I've ever seen here in NJ. We'll see how it does with heavy snow. The curtains are nice to block cooler breezes or more sun if necessary. We really don't have much of an insect problem so while the screens are nice we don't really use them. ... show more
