These are my go to strings. I have been using them for years. If you play several gigs a week I would replace once a month. At the time however, I just play in church and practice a few times a week. With that being said, they last me about 6 months before i change them out ( i do use string conditioner too). I have a short scale bass and the strings always felt a little floppy no matter what I did to them; then I heard that heavier gauge strings compensate for the lack of tension in short scale basses so I gave these a shot and I'm glad I did!
