Got this chair for the office. Originally it was supposed to be my chair however I found out it is to short for me. (5ft 10in/145lbs). I contacted the seller to find out if there was anything we could do & they were able to provide information for the correct piece. However my co-worker loved the chair & fit perfectly for her (5ft 7in). I will say after having the chair for 9 months now it is starting to show some wear & tear. The seat is becoming flat in one area. No one else has said anything about the wheels disintegrating and leaving plastic flakes everywhere (which are impossible to get up). I have contacted the seller to see if they can tell me what I should do. However the seller GreatLove has been wonderful for this whole process. ... show more

    • Great choice for the price
If you're anything like me, you already looked through page after page of chairs on Amazon looking for the right one. I was slightly skeptical about this one but I've found this chair is a great choice for the price. It's comfortable enough that you can sit down for hours without any discomfort. The installation was a breeze. All the parts arrived labeled correctly and the instructions were easy to understand and follow. I had no issues with putting it together. Although it feels a little cheap, the actually chair looks fairly nice once completed. I've used the chair for about a month now and have had no issues or discomfort. However, I notice the chair leans slightly to the right when on the locked position. This only happens if you place excessive weight on that side. Also, the chair is slightly smaller that I would ideally like it to be. I'm 6 feet for perspective and the head rest is just slightly lower than I would like it to be, even in the full stretch position. The arm rests follow in par. The rests are about an inch and a half lower than I'd like (although this can be fixed with arm rest pads.) Raising them doesn't help as angled, the rests do not hold the weight of my arms. Finally, the chair does collect fur as the material conveys. If you have animals and have issues with fur attracting material keep this in mind. In conclusion, this chair is a good option. Please remember the price compared to others you've seen so don't expect professional level. Although very comfortable, do expect to get up once in a while as NO chair will allow you to sit without having to do so. With that being said, I recommend the chair for anyone on the fence. As stated, I've only used it for about a month with no issues so only time will tale the longevity of the item. If you are using an old chair, this will definitely be an upgrade.     • Decent chair, pain to assemble
Assembly was a major point of frustration with this chair. Particularly when it came to attempting to screw the L-shaped pieces of plastic (already attached to the back) to the seat of the chair. Even with a flashlight I often could not see what I was doing well for this part. And even with the screws visually confirmed to be in the holes, I spent a great deal of time turning them without them catching. It was an exercise in frustration. I ended up taking the L-shaped pieces off the back and assembling to the seat first. In a similar vein, the instructions don't take the time to note that, when screwing on the connecting piece under the seat - the cylinder nub bit needs to point to the front and the lever needs to be on the right-hand side of the chair. Why is this important? Because if you do this backwards the chair tips forward instead of being able to lean back. And if you find this out because you sat in it to test, that piece is now firmly set into the hydraulic lift piece. That makes it a real pain to unscrew around and re-attach the connector on the bottom of the seat. Just a single line on the instructions would have saved a lot of hassle. I'm going to be honest, if I reviewed this right after I finished assembling, I'd have been tempted to rate it 3 stars just for how awful that was. The good thing is that you will only need to do that once. The chair itself is nice enough with good lower back support. The arms swinging up and down are handy as well. It isn't the most comfortable chair, but a clear upgrade from a dining room chair (which I used previously). Despite being padded the seat still somehow manages to feel hard. I am 6'1" and the chair is too short. My shoulders are pushed forward by the head rest (it is up as far as it can), and makes it uncomfortable on my neck and shoulders. Because of how low it is, it's uncomfortable to try and use the head rest as well. Seems to be designed for people quite a bit shorter than I am (see photo). Because of the posture it causes, the lumbar support seems to slip down and won't stay in place. Don't know if this would be a problem for people who are the 'correct' height for this chair. Is more comfortable when I removed the headrest. Will be returning when I get a new chair. Update: Used the chair for a few days and noticed a few things. Despite removing headrest (which fixed shoulder and neck problem), the lumbar support pad would keep slipping down. I had to keep pushing it up. The lumbar pad was getting hot during one session, where I realized it wasn't mesh. Seat cushion is comfortable and got warm, but was fine to me. Arm rests don't seem to retract all the way and I would hit my arms if extended like if my hands were on my hips, or I was reaching off to the side for something. Update 2: It seems they have updated the description of this product. It is more accurate and an line with my experience, so I will be upgrading my review from a 2 to a 4 (under the assumption that if I was in that demographic, it would have been fine). ... show more

Good for my back with lumbar support. Quality is good. Just slap it with some rubber wheels cause the wheels are bad.
