This worked for awhile but distraction after distraction has finally reached its point and I needed a space with a door and a proper office setup. We set up the room and I needed a proper office chair (not dining room chair). I came across this as it was well reviewed overall and I liked the footrest feature. This was alright to put together (not too bad, no IKEA). The cushion is a lot more comfortable than I was expecting. I like to roll this chair out in the living area to watch the TV or to video game. This is when the footrest comes in use. The footrest is alright, I am 5'4 and it rests on my calves. It is not the most comfortable to me, but it works fine. I cannot imagine anyone a lot taller finding the foot rest comfortable. Foot rest is not the sturdiest, it clearly states on the product instructions that this is not meant to hold a lot of weight. I liked that this included a lumbar pillow. This pillow is loose and unattached, which is a plus for me but not for others. The headrest, height and recline are all adjustable. The recline can be adjusted and locked in place, a feature that I like a lot. The arm rests are not adjustable so please keep this in mind. Overall I am very pleased with this chair. Bought this for my new home office, but it's been the box since it arrived in June. Finally got the room renovated so I opened it up and put it together three nights ago. It was very simple to do. I was impressed with the nice quality of the fabric, the spacious and firmly padded seat and arm rests. Also liked the lumbar pillow, which I use for a head rest as the head rests are always too high for me. The tricky part was the cover that fits over the part where the back joins with the seat. The plastic cover would not just snap in. Finally put a little pressure on the little pieces that insert into the space bending them inward a tad and that seemed to do it. The "foot rest" is a little disappointing. Would be more appropriate to label it as a leg rest, as it is my calves that rest on it, leaving my feet dangling down. Still it's a very nice chair, with adjustment levers for height and tilt. Doesn't feel flimsy, and the casters see to work smoothly. Happy to report it's very comfortable! ... show more

I just put this together, so I can’t speak to the workday comfort or longevity of this chair yet - but I was seriously impressed with the packaging, quality of parts, and ease of assembly. Every part is easy to identify, instructions were clear, and the frame seems really high quality. The screws have some sort of locktite coating so I expect they’ll hold well over time. I will say that the plate which connects the back of the chair to the seat has some play when putting it on and I do feel that it’s ever so slightly off center because of this, making one arm closer against the seat. However, this is minimal and does not appear to affect the overall function at all. The Allen key tool has a comfortable handle built in as well and is the nicest Allen key I’ve ever used (I’ll be keeping it in my indoor tool kit for future use). Update after one month of use: I use this chair 3 days a week, for 12 hrs/day. After almost one month of such use, the bolt connecting the bottom of the right arm worked its way loose and fell down - easy enough to fix but it definitely should not have happened so fast. I actually kind of enjoy the additional room to cross my legs so I may just remove the arms altogether. The seat cushion has already flattened significantly, which is my bigger issue with the chair. I’m going to buy a seat cushion to make this more comfortable and I don’t feel like I should have to do that after only twelve days of use. I deducted a star from original five star review due to these issues. If any significant issues arise again, I’ll update this review. ... show more
