The chair is well constructed and does feel premium. I tried a lot of chairs and the bottom cushion of most chairs usually wears out and flattens. This one doesn't seem to have that problem. Arm rests are good and in a good position. The lumbar support is good. I don't feel any pressure when sitting down lying on it. Head rest is adjustable and comfortable enough. Only problem if it can be called one, is that the tensioner for rocking the chair back and forth is on the very bottom as a twistable knob. I would have preferred something a bit more easy to access. Most chairs are also like this. This is a small gripe. Still one of the best chairs I have. I can definitely spend hours using it. ... show more

This is my 2nd Kerdom office chair. Frankly, I like it just a bit more than the last, though both are serviceable and comfortable. It was relatively easy to build. As long as you have basic skills and tools, along with a modicum of patience. Gratefully, I didn't try to put it together with the included wrench (though it would be possible). I find it's hard to get the bolts sufficiently tight on projects like this without the aid of greater leverage. If you've got a 1/4" driver, and a 1/4" bit & socket set (metric of course) you'll find the build is easier and sturdier. The seat on this particular chair seems (a bit more) sufficiently padded, which I appreciate. It's not the most comfortable seat I've ever used, but it is better than most. The seat is also ergonomic, as well as being sufficiently wide to keep from feeling cramped. The arms and headrest of this chair seem sturdy, and the adjustments to them are positive and useful. I extended the arms of my chair (during the build phase) as far as they would go, and it seems to be a reasonable width for my 48" shoulders, thankfully. I'd prefer a slightly deeper seating depth, all things considered... but I believe I've got it adjusted as far as it will go. I believe this is a good chair, and it represents a reasonable value. It's comfortable, sturdy, supportive, breathable, and looks good as a finished product. It also appears to be built with a reasonable degree of quality in materials and design. It's certainly not a bag of bolts. All adjustments function as intended. If I had to give one suggestion, the wheels are a little too soft. This makes changing direction while seated a little more difficult than it needs to be. However, it's a small price to pay when you consider that the softer wheels are helping to protect your flooring. This "softness" is much more beneficial on hard floors than carpeting. Alas, the casters (wheels) are easy to change should one be so inclined. In summary, I'd give this chair a 78 out of 100 rating. It's not a high-line item, but it will certainly get the job done nicely with a reasonable degree of comfort, and support. I'd prefer to see a price just below $200. Yet in the current market... you could do a lot worse for the same money. This chair will likely serve the needs of 75% of people in the market. We got this chair for a new desk. It fits nicely with the small student sized desk that we are using it for and would also work well for my larger L-shaped work desk if I wanted to move it over. Out of the box, the base is the easiest part to assemble, like most office chairs. Putting the back rest on was a bit different than other models as you install the back brace, then the mesh padded backing. The back brace installation step was awkward in terms of positioning. All computer chair assemblies seem to have one step that is a slightly awkward or challenging, especially if building alone. This chair tripped me up and I've built several chairs in recent years (thank you pandemic and home offices). It's not insurmountable just a bit tricky depending on angle and surface. Once built, we've had no issues. It's a comfortable enough chair and has the height adjustments on it. The height adjuster does seem to lock to prevent being triggered accidentally. The armrests slide front and back very easily as well, making this a highly customizable sit for whoever will be using it. ... show more
