I got this chair as a surprise gift for my retired spouse, who has back issues and suffers from sciatica. He often uses a regular kitchen chair, causing him much discomfort, so he frequently 'borrows' my ergonomic office chair. I hoped this ELABEST chair would be the perfect solution, and it definitely did not disappoint! The chair arrived swiftly and well-packaged. The instructions were easy to follow, with all parts, screws, and T-shape wrench included. My spouse assembled it in about 20 minutes. The chair looks and feels of high-quality - well-made, sturdy, durable, and most importantly, comfortable. The ergonomic design is fantastic. The S-shaped curve of the chair perfectly fits my spouse's large back and waist. The wider seat provides a larger load-bearing area, and the fully adjustable armrests offer steady support, moving up and down, pivoting in and out, and shifting forward and back. The lumbar support, adjustable in multiple directions, is excellent and truly meets his needs.     • Firm but Comfortable Chair
I just renovated my office and grabbed this chair to use in the new design. I have to say I love it! The chair came really quickly and was well-packaged. Assembly was pretty straightforward and quick, making setup a breeze. When I first sat it in I was a little nervous because it felt a little too firm but I've been sitting in it for the past couple of hours and it's really comfortable. I love how customizable it is, from the tilting rocking back, the adjustable lumbar support, and how the armrests can bother be raised up and down, side to side, or forward and back. This is great because I'm just shy of 5' tall so being able to adjust things for my shorter arms and legs makes the overall comfort of this chair so much better. Overall, this was a great purchase and I know I'll be using this chair for quite a while with how durable and sturdy the pieces are. My husband works from home so it is essential that he has the right chair. This chair did take a little while to assemble, so just make sure you set enough time aside. It does have really nice back support and the cushions are very comfortable. The breathable back is a nice feature for airflow (our office gets direct sun all day). This chair is sturdier that your average chair you order online. This is more on the par of a professional office chair that is several hundred dollars. The legs are steel and there must be a lot of other steel since this chair is heavy. The assembly took a little longer than expected, but it came together nicely. Helpful Tips: 1. The lumbar support adjusts up and down and in and out. I didn't know about the up and down at first and got a negative first impression of the chair because the lumbar cushion was all the way up. After adjustment, it was great. 2. There is a small card included that explains the manufacturer will upgrade the wheels for no charge to rubber wheels similar to roller-blade wheels. I highly recommend this. The upgraded wheels are very nice and smoother than the wheels it came with. ... show more

    • Uncomfortable chair
This chair is very sturdy and well made but very hard and uncomfortable. I do love the adjustable armrests and lumbar support which is a plus . I work from home and sit 8 hours a day so I need comfort however, this chair is not it. The seat is very hard and by 30 minutes of sitting my bum and legs are hurting. Unfortunately I threw the box out upon opening and assembling chair so I will be searching for a box big enough to fit chair to return or selling on marketplace. I would keep the chair but then I have to buy a seat cushion which is added cost on top of the 199.00 for the chair. I really had high hopes for this chair, it's a no for me. ... show more

    • Easy assembly and adjustable to your comfort!
The assembly of this was very simple. I didn't even need the instructions. The bolts were all labeled on the bolt package and it took maybe 20 minutes to completely assemble. I was impressed with the materials used for the whole chair, but especially the wheel base part, which is made of heavy / sturdy metal. It isn't the chrome plating that starts flaking off of other chairs, so that's a huge plus. I got this for my husband and he reports that it is very comfortable. He works remotely, so he is in it for many hours of the day. He is tall (6'4", so we adjusted the back to the farthest we could with the bolts that secure it and put the lumbar back as well and it works well for him. Still not quite as much support as the previous chair that was extra deep for tall people, but he is comfortable. The arm rests adjust in height and angle, which is great. The mesh backing keeps him cooler than his previous pleather chair. The chair has the normal adjustments for height and lean and those are both working well.
