    • Fantastic Performance Printer
I Picked up 3 of these to handle packing slip printing while I pumped out massive amounts of thermal labels with an Industrial thermal label printer. The printers are FAST. And they can be hooked to the network which makes them a lot more usable as far as accessing settings and transferring the data. It's a little difficult to get familiar with these printers when there's a paper jam but once you find how easy it is to pull the back out and rip out the paper, it's a cakejob. What impresses me the most about these printers is it draws the next sheet while it's still printing the current page. Absolutely fantastic for the fast print jobs I needed. Also, the ecotank/supertank Epson has is the way to go. I'm so tired of using a CIS with their printers. Now that they're built in, it's clean and easy to handle. Epson makes these special bottles for filling ink, in an attempt to force you to buy their own ink they make it look impossible to unscrew the bottle top, but you can and then fill your own cheaper ink. Just make sure to use quality ink if you deviate from Epson's. Don't just put any ink in or you'll clog your heads. The only drawback worth stating is it does seem like it pumps through ink a lot faster than some of their cheaper printers and the old workforce printers. It could just be that I'm able to slam through packing slips faster and I'm getting a lot more done but I have had to fill the printers a few times already. No biggie though. I bought this printer after buying a lot of cheap laser printers. i have bought brothers etc and tons of laser cartridges but they always crap out, or something else breaks on them. In fact this was the replacement for a laser that had crapped out, couldn't figure out the problem and ended up throwing away a new toner, that's awesome just throwing money away... anyways this printer is good, yeah it's gets jammed a bit but it keeps on working, i'm onto my third refill now of ink and it's still going.. super cheap ink, i even buy epsons, because it's so cheap compared to everything else and it last a long time... prints fast, i'm pretty sure i have it connected to ethernet and about 12 pc's print to it... it's a great one, i bought myself a color printer after i had this one for awhile because it works so good... ... show more

    • Nothing but problems
Got this about 3 weeks ago. Initially it printed great. A couple days ago, it started printing a few pages, then stopping, giving paper and ink errors. Th ink was full. The paper tray was not empty. There were no jams or stray paper shards inside. Called Epson support 4-5 times and they were of zero help. They kept going through the same routines with me, over and over again. Their help worked for maybe 20 pages, then I get the same error. Meanwhile I am wasting a ton of expensive paper. I asked if they could send me a new one, and they said no. They said the printer is working fine - except it is not. It may be a great printer for 4-5 pages, but long documents, forget it. Attempting to return it. ... show more

    • Very Quiet and Efficient
I had a Brother printer for many years, worked very well, until the company stopped making drivers for the model I had. It is a sign of disrespect to the customer to discontinue drivers on models that are still being used by customers, so i will never buy another Brother product. I searched and searched for a basic monochrome printer, not needing fax or scanner that I already have. So many are wifi only, which I eliminate for many reasons. It is amazing how companies make simple printers so unnecessarily complicated. I finally found this Epson which so far I am satisfied. There is no sound, the print quality is excellent, and very easy installation through their website software download. I like that I can do maintenance directly from the printer app. The only disappointment is that the first copy takes much longer to print than other printers I have owned or used. But overall, it is sturdy, and dependable and very easy to use. Works great with my MAC. ... show more

    • Great performance!
I love this printer. It prints REALLY fast and clean and can print both sides, which you don't get often with budget-minded printers. The only downside is that it's a little on the loud side, but I'm ok with it because of how well it performs.

In my quest to find a printer that isn’t mind nummingly unreliable this has been but another stepping stone. Had it for about a year. It’s fine 70% of the time. Prepare to have a lot of paper jams. Prepare to have a lot of errors printing. Prepare to have a lot of errors connecting to it. I would just allot an extra 10 minutes for troubleshooting any time you plan to use it. ... show more

    • Great B&W Printer perfect for the small office.
As a writer printing is a huge part of my process. I've printed on the large 5x8 index cards and regular letter paper. I love this little machine! It's size and the usb connection option make it super portable too. And i'm relieved i don't have to break the bank buying ink. Yes, it uses about a third bottle to get the printer functioning out the box. But i'd rather the ink help with maintenance than having a machine that needs professional repair on top of expensive toners/ ink. Setup can be a little tricky if you don't have a computer, but Google Cloud print saves the day (i only have a chromebook and was able to get it set up). Do yourself a favor and download the manual, bc otherwise you'll be guessing your way through what combinations of buttons to press when there's a printing or wifi error, etc. Overall great little printer that doesn't compromise connectability or the types of paper you can use.
