I got 2 units b/c DIY solar with Will Prowse recommended them. You can trust Will Prowse. I also got the MT50 remote units mounted right beside them for viewing/ editing. I implented a 24V configuration. Each is connected to 3 Renogy 320W panels in series. I have 3 facing morning sun and 3 facing evening sun. The morning oriented panels produce significant power in the evening and vice versa, partly due to the 3 Renogy panels generating high voltage to siphon current from the sun.

This was simple to set up, within about 15 minutes of the controller being delivered, I was able to get it hooked up and charging. The only issue I had, I was trying to use 10AWG cable and ended up needing to crimp on a solid lead to the end to get the cables to stay in, otherwise, they seemed to be loose and would come out of the ports when the cables were moved at all.

I have not installed or powered up yet. That is why the 3 stars. Tech support did contact me by email so I could download the full operating manual and computer software (computer software not required with MT-50). I appreciate the contact. The purchase experience was great, good packaging and on time. Product comes highly recommended and looks/feels of good quality. I did purchase this controller expecting it to be in service for a long time. I can't write about how well it works yet but I am confident it will be as expected.

I setup solar arrays for my work. This one has massive problems reading the batteries that are connected to it. I have tried it on both 24volt and 12volt systems. It is never consistent on one or the other. on a 12 volt sealed battery system, it would read 24volt flooded battery. On a 24 volt flooded array, it was reading 12volt Lithium. Even when I manually set them, or returned the system to defaults, the minute I plugged in the batteries, all went back to the same, even when I didn't hook up the solar panels. Too late to send it back, and not worth the effort. By a better Solar charge controller.
