  • Easy to set up.
This was simple to set up, within about 15 minutes of the controller being delivered, I was able to get it hooked up and charging. The only issue I had, I was trying to use 10AWG cable and ended up needing to crimp on a solid lead to the end to get the cables to stay in, otherwise, they seemed to be loose and would come out of the ports when the cables were moved at all. ... show more

  • works well

The unit is made of cast aluminum with large fins to dissipate any heat. So far, the unit doesn't even feel warm to the touch. I prefer the aluminum to needing a fan which can fail. Would buy again for a small solar setup.

  • A fantastic MPPT charge controller
Amperage: 40
This charge controller increased the power that is available to the battery bank by a significant amount over the charge controller that I had before. It is easy to setup and works flawlessly.

Worked fine with 12 volts not at all with 24 volts as advertised, no customer service help

  • Well made controller
Amperage: 40
Easy to set up and seems to be a very well built controller. Installed late in the day with a cloudy sky but still saw an impressive amount of power from the unit. Currently have 4 170 watt panels in series but will soon increase to 6 panels in series.

  • Has problems reading the difference between 24v and 12v batteries, and their type.
Amperage: 30
I setup solar arrays for my work. This one has massive problems reading the batteries that are connected to it. I have tried it on both 24volt and 12volt systems. It is never consistent on one or the other. on a 12 volt sealed battery system, it would read 24volt flooded battery. On a 24 volt flooded array, it was reading 12volt Lithium. Even when I manually set them, or returned the system to defaults, the minute I plugged in the batteries, all went back to the same, even when I didn't hook up the solar panels. Too late to send it back, and not worth the effort. By a better Solar charge controller. ... show more
