  • Paid for itself dozens of times over.
Color: Blue
Quick review for a product that vastly exceeded expectations. This was my 3rd replacement for cheap tire inflators that failed just a few uses. I had a set of rims that never sealed properly despite being checked and serviced on multiple occasions by different shops, even with new tires mounted. Every wheel would eventually develop a slow leak and I was using an inflator enough to be embarrassed about it. The 3 inflators prior to this purchase failed in just a few uses each. Whether it was the compressor, power cable, or some other electrical issue, nothing around the $20-30 price was going survived what I would even call light use. (Shoutout to Slime products for being some of the most unreliable hardware/junk I've ever used!) I was getting rid of the car and its awful rims, so I really didn't want to spend much on quality. This was my last try before the nuclear option of dropping $100+ on some sort of battery charger/tire inflator combo or behemoth from Milwaukee that I would never use. So I did some very light research and after seeing a few decent reviews, settled on this thing for the same price, 2 years ago. Since then, this solid little unit has done everything I've ever asked of it, and I've asked a lot. It has never failed to air up even a full set of 4 perfectly average, 17" 225/50 tires, from fully flat to overinflated (slow leaks!). Even after pumping up a full set of tires from low pressures, I don't think I ever triggered the overheat protection of the unit. The digital pressure gauge and cutoff feature of the unit are pretty accurate when checked with a manual gauge; I never underinflated a tire in relation to my desired PSI. It's not fast. I don't think you can get --or should want-- fast at this price point, but it is reliable. EPAuto says not to use it on truck tires; I think you probably could if you had to, but singles only, with lots of breaks. They don't seem to have wasted much money on crappy cases that conceal tiny compressors like others at this range, so it doesn't look cool. Oh well, never going to impress anybody airing tires anyway. It has a spotlight, which has come in handy more often than I expected. My biggest knock against the EPAuto is the screw-on valve connector, which can be a pain to use. I always felt like I was losing a pound or two of air while scrambling to disconnect hose quickly, but protip: a little brass schrader quick-connect chuck for $5-10 her on Amazon and that problem is solved. (Or overinflate by a pound or two and stop whining) It comes in a decent little soft carrying case, and it has storage slots for coiling the power cord and air hose. It's crazy, but it almost seems like they cared about how this product might actually be used more than once. It would make a nice little emergency tool for the trunk, even if you own more expensive compressors. I rarely give reviews, but good products at inexpensive prices deserve it. ... show more

  • Absolute life saver.
Color: Blue
I bought this in February and it has taken me out of many a rough spot. Twice it has filled my tire at 330 in the morning. It has also allowed me to help other people get on their way at work. It is easy to use and compact which is great for stashing in the trunk, and has been very reliable.

  • 9/10 - otherwise, very quality portable air compressor
Color: Red
If you need to inflate your tires, or anything really, this little compressor is quite handy. You can order it in three colors, yellow, red, or blue. The colors do nothing. You'll notice that this compressor works through a car cigarette outlet, and it does not plug into a wall with a two prong plug. So - if you're going to inflate something inside your house you're going to have to bring it outside to your car. If you're going to use this to keep in the back of your trunk and inflate your tires during an emergency, then this is perfect. It weighs very little. I'd honestly say it's less than 3 lbs. It comes with a handy little bag, a bit cheap but whatever😊that you can easily carry it in. I like the fact that the gauge of the power wire is not only thicker than most compressors, but it also is at least eight feet long, maybe 10, and that definitely helps when you have to plug it inside your car and run it outside to the wheels. Also, in line with the power cord is a blade style fuse and fuse receptacle. Its the same fuses that you'd find inside any American car. Now, if there is any electrical malfunction, or a power surge from your car, the inline fuse will blow instead of destroying your compressor - and you can easily obtain these kind of fuses on Amazon cheap. On top you will notice that it has a non illuminated digital tire display, wish it was lit up. You have to screw the air hose onto the valve stem of your tire and wait 10 or 15 seconds for the compressor to measure how many pounds per square inch are already in your tire. After that, all you have to do is turn it on and wait till it gets to your recommended pounds per square inch, or you can adjust the display through the plus or minus buttons, so that the compressor automatically cuts off once it reaches a predetermined pressure. it's extremely easy, basically all you do is plug it in, screw the air hose on, and then hit the little switch and let the compressor do its work. I've noticed that the digital tire gauge built-in is also a fairly accurate. the only reason I don't give this 5 out of 5 is because there is an LED light built into the compressor, and it is always on when you plug the unit in. You can tell before you even flip the toggle switch whether or not the unit has power by just simply looking at the LED light built into the side of the compressor. The problem with this however is, they designed the light to face towards you when the tire gauge is facing you. that means, when you are trying to read the digital tire gauge the LED light is going to be shining at your knees, and not at the tire in front of you. LED light should have been designed on the other side of the compressor, so that it would illuminate the tire, and you could read the gauge the right side up. in conclusion, might I say that this compressor is very quiet, very efficient, and it seems to be very durable, I've already used it three times. I will update at the three-month mark, that's so far I still write this excellent, and if it wasn't for the LED on the wrong side it would be a 100%. Read the reviews and go with this one 🙂 ... show more
