After a long, aggravating search through all the local hardware and feed stores with no luck, I finally turned to Amazon, and voila! As usual, I found exactly what I wanted. The local stores had only the post hinges that screw into wood. I live in AZ, and wood doesn't hold up long around here, so most horse people use metal panels. These hinges installed quickly and easily. Even though they are galvanized, the hardware held up; the nuts didn't round out, nor did the threads on the bolts flatten. I have bought galvanized "8" clamps for joining metal horse panels and have had problems with the metal being too soft. These, on the other hand, held up even after I had to adjust them a few times to hang the gate at the right height. I am thinking of adding another gate to my corral and will definitely buy these again. ... show more
