Currently going into week three post shoulder surgery. This chair has made recovery from shoulder surgery much easier (not going to say nicer, shoulder surgeries always suck). Having the lift to stand, then sit back down for first couple weeks was worth cost of chair. Is it comfiest chair? No. Is it ok? Yes. Are the heating and massage functions worth anything? No. The massage is basically a rolling pin going up and down with vibration in different areas that genuinely suck. The heating function is no different. Thankfully, those were just gimmicks that would have been nice to have, but not why I bought the chair, so for me, not worth taking a star away from something not expected to work in first place. I expected a chair to help me remain mobile while recovering from surgery and to support me while having to sleep in it for same recovery. It is doing exceptionally well for the reasons it was purchased. Beyond that would be great but it is not great just good enough.

Its well made and its heavy! Don't be fooled that you can assemble this chair in 20 minutes. It took me and my brother 55 minutes figuring out everything. Also, another 1:15 hours unboxing the thing and discarding the cardboard. Only got it together today so I'm still evaluating how comfortable it is. The Power Lift function works very well and serves the function I bought it for. Workmanship overall is excellent. The massage function works but is a waist of resources. After only having the chair for one day, I am pleased and at this point would buy it again (Update) Now that I have had the chair over a week here are some observations. The seat is not as comfortable as I had hoped for. The foot rest is a little short for me and I am only 5'11" tall. I really hate the faux leather. Prevents you from sliding around in the chair without rearranging your underware. Overall, it's not too bad but there are better chairs out there for a couple hundred bucks more.

This is the best recliner we have ever had and I would give 6 stars if I could! (This is not a paid endorsement!) Beautifully engineered design!!! It is wood with steel brackets and slides together easily, Wires are color coated and lock in place or have keepers to keep them together when using lift. Back flap has Velcro to keep wires covered and everything safe. Lighted main remote for easier use. Lumber Bar support that actually comes out far enough. Thick cover so it should last. Heavy enough that it does not slide around on floor. Electric motors are very quiet and do not bother the dogs. We have had this chair for 48 hours and I have only got to sit in three times. It was the most hotly contested chair in the house Thanksgiving Day! Even the Cocker Spaniels keep getting in the act. If someone one got out of it to go the bathroom, someone else got in it and cited the "You got up rule." when the other person came back. Very firm cushions are comfortable and make it easy to slide out without pain. Back does not force your head forward and cause pain in your neck. We are long waisted and have trouble with chairs backs not being tall enough to support your head without the depth of the seat being too much for our feet to touch the floor. (We learned always have your actual measurements when buying a recliner.) We were scared to buy one online, but this recliner better than the ones we bought in store in the past after shopping for days to try and get the right one. Caution - It is heavy. We are both around 60 years of age and had to open boxes outside where FedEx delivered them and haul parts in one at a time up the stairs. Only other cautions is that main remote was a little hard to use at right first for us because top button has to be used for more than one function. (We had trouble figuring how to get leg support down when we were in a hurry to get up.) Remote also stays lighted all the time and does not go out with inactivity and we worry that bulb may wear out fast. We shall see. We are so happy with this one we hope to take out the Loveseat and buy another one we can afford it.
