Wow, really impressed with this guitar, for the price it's a sleek and handsome instrument, doesn't sound as deep and bassy as a conventional acoustic, the tone is different, more bright, and it's still full of natural volume and I like the stylish soundhole that looks like a flame. My 3 year old has a penchant for putting objects into the soundholes of guitars and I hope this will prevent that behavior! I haven't tried the electronics on this yet. It's relatively lightweight and of a manageable medium size, thin body, easy to play and tune and seems to stay in tune well. I'm really going to enjoy using this. Oh, all the accessories too!! (In my photo I have a strap on it purchased separately, it's not the one that came with it). The beautiful color choices were tempting but I ended up going with clean bright white for maximum visual impact. Also the travel case it comes with is good quality and comfortable to wear on your back so the guitar is easily portable for the roving troubador. This is my first time owning a carbon fiber guitar, so it feels like a new adventure. I think this would be a great guitar for people who live in humid environments because the inside won't get that musty smell like wooden acoustics do. ... show more

    • Very useful travel guitar with many perks

I am only 24 hours in, but I am having a whole lot of fun with this thing. The guitar minus the electronics has a lot going for it. I have tuned it one time in a couple of hours of playing over the course of a day. It holds tuning extremely well. It sounds unique, but in a very good way. Clear, long sustain, and balanced with more bass than you would expect based on the dimensions. The strings that came on it are fine, and the accesories are also OK. The gig bag is very basic, but it will probably proect it ok from a short fall. It is ready to play out of the box ,and a 30 minute charge has lasted a long time at this point. Then, you download the app and play with the electronics, effects, EQ, etc...and it is super cool. You can preset the different onboard options for reverb, chorus, delays and mix and match effects. The options are plentiful and sound very good. I also tested recording it direct to my Cubase rig (through a Behringer Xair 18) and it sounds terrific. Near zero noise floor, rich, clear sound, and you can record it clean or with the onboard effects out of the 1/4" guitar jack. I got this so that I wouldn't need to take my nicer wooden acoustics on the boat or to a tailgate, and it seems like a great option. ... show more

I've had this guitar for awhile now and I'm not sure if I would purchase it again. For the price I think putting the money toward a Tonewood amp may have been a better choice for me. I still enjoy this guitar and it does get played. The good points: It has good build quality, the frets are smooth and level, tuners are decent, strings are good, gig bag is nice. Sound is full for such a small acoustic and it holds tune well. You can connect your phone to the guitar and play backing tracks through the internal amp. Guitar also sounds good connected to an amp. The guitar feels durable and is built for travel, I have no fear of damaging it or having a problem due to environmental changes. The areas needing improvement: The action was extremely high, there is an inspection ticket stating the action at less than half of what it actually measured. The saddle had to be sanded to lower the action to the correct height, after that the guitar plays great. The electronics need the app to be usable, out of the box settings you can hardly here any effects coming from the guitar. I had to increase the volume using the app to set the level, not a big deal but should be set higher from the factory as you can adjust the volume down with the knob. Effects are not that great, app adjustability is limited and you are stuck with only the 4 effects. They should have added the ability to choose different effects and create your own patches. Digital processors are cheap and some more usable effects would have been nice. Overall it's a nice travel guitar (after adjusting the action) it sounds bigger than it is. The internal amp is nice even with the limited effects (after adjusting levels with the app). The App connects well and is easy to use, the ability to play backing tracks through the guitar adds to the fun and is a good tool for practice. Keep in mind the guitar may need some setup to play nice like mine did, if you cannot do this yourself it will be an added cost. ... show more

The guitar arrived in perfect condition with all of the promised accessories and functions intact. I played the guitar several times with friends and alone over the course of 2 weeks. I had a small amplifier that I used sometimes. I also tried the onboard amp with each of its settings at various levels of volume. The quality of sound produced by the guitar is mediocre at best. The tones are tinny. I have a Yamaha travel guitar as well (apxt2), and it has a better, though still not great, sound, with a pick-up and built in tuner. Is the Enya is a 4 or so, the Yamaha is a 5-6. Maybe subtract a point or 2 for each unless you are comparing with other travel guitars. Playability: The strings are close together, which was elucidated in the specifications, so it was not a good fit for my wide fingers. The strings that were installed at the factory are not too bad in terms of quality, but I would recommend heavier gauge rather that lighter on this instrument to compensate for the weaker sound. The sound hole in the top worked as a decent player's monitor. Using the exterior amp helped bring my volume contribution up to the level of my fellow players. I didn't notice much difference between the 4 onboard amp settings, except the 4th one provided a sort of vibrato. I charged the guitar with a USB cord one time. The associated light showed when it was fully charged. The reason I returned the guitar was not because of its performance. When I packed the guitar in the provided gig bag for my trip home on the airplane, the zipper broke on the outside music pocket. So in my original request, I asked just for a new bag. Enya didn't accept any such thing, allowing only a full refund for a return of the guitar, bag and accessories. Otherwise I would have kept the instrument. As it stands, however, given my less than stellar experience, I won't be buying another one. Customer service: except for a strict policy that didn't allow for simply replacing the bag, customer service was excellent. They refunded my account a couple hours after I dropped off the box at UPS. Don't buy this guitar for anything except having something to play when you're traveling. It's designed for that purpose, I believe, and except for the zipper on the bag, lives up to that design. The bag is otherwise heavy duty with appropriately heavy padding and perfect size, shoulder straps, grab handles on the edge and halfway down for lateral and vertical handling. The real issue for me: you can't travel with a travel guitar if you can't trust the bag's zippers! ... show more

I bought this 4lb guitar when I learned I was supposed to have surgery and would not be able to lift more than 5 pounds for a couple of months. I’ve had it for about a month or so, and I’m still getting used to it, but it has become my main road guitar. It plays as acoustic or amplified and I’m loving that it’s carbon fiber so I can leave it in the hot truck and not worry about it. The sound isn’t amazing, but it’s good enough for jams and open mics. It’s super light, super cute and the price was easy on the pocketbook. I still have not figured out all of the effects or the app, but I really haven’t tried. Definitely recommended. ... show more

I have 3 Enya caron fiber guitars and I love all of them. Most recently I bought the NOVA GO SP1 acoustic which I will say I had reservations with, I was a little hesitant about its durability, size and how it would sound, but all for naught as it doesn’t dissapoint in build quality, appearance or sound characteristics. I had been learning to play, on and off for quite a few years, sometimes ardently commited to it, other times half heartedly, but always loving the instrument and loving to “play”. Regardless of if I was any good at it, after all, the only one I had to please or entertain was myself. I was finally getting to a point where I was feeling confident, like I was finally “getting it” when unfortunately, at about that same time, I developed a health condition which caused me chronic pain and to become fatigued very quickly. The weight and size of my guitars was intolerable, so I begrudginly had to give it up completely. I am so grateful to have recently seen these carbon fiber guitars on Amazon, I was intrigued by the positive reviews and all the comments regarding their weight and convenience. I figured I would give them a try even with my low stamina and back pain issues. I started with the XMari and loved it, then the Go Sonic, loved that too, and now the SP1. Enya hit the trifecta on these, the light weight and convenience have allowed me to pick up the thing I loved so much again and the excellent quality of the looks, construction, functionallity and sound is the icing on the cake. I would reccomend these to anyone, from beginner or hobbyist to seasoned pro. Wow! Perfect..especially for me as Im a truck driver who travels from East to west, North to South. My expensive wood guitar was getting dings and terrible humidy environments out here on the road so I had to do something about it. This guitar body is tough as nails but sings like a canary. Humidity is not a problem anymore..and this guitar holds its tune pretty dang good. The action was just a tad high but an easy fix with the included truss rod wrench. The sound volume...mehhh..probably not as overall loud as I'd hoped/thought but its doable. When i want a lil more volume i just hook up to my little practice amp. One thing i was disappointed with was the guitar cord/wire..it was already cutting out after only my first real use! Had to hold a bend on it for it to work proper. No matter ..i have a few of my own i guess. It sounds really good..and i have to admit..almost as good as my expensive wood guitars. But I dont have to baby this one or wirry if i leave it out the case. Honestly..this enya is so convenient and ready to go..i actually practice more now. It is perfect for practice..or performing...i used it at a friend's bbq and had everyone clapping singing and cheering my performances. Maybe it was the beer but either way..it must have sounded pretty good. Good enough that i didnt even bother to pull the thousand + Martin guitar out the case! About the app>>I tried playing with/adjusting the settings from the app..fooled with the amplifier and got a nasty feedback! I seriously thought i broke something or that i got a dud..it sounded horrendous! It wasnt broken..i just went too high on the eq. Deleted that setting ..and restored factory..no more feed back.
