Nice ovation! First thing I did was adjust the truss rod for an almost flat neck (truss rod easily adjusted). Removed the bridge shim to lower the action to 3/32" at 12th fret. Cut the nut at each string (although, it was already cut from the factory almost perfect). Replaced the strings with silk & steel (my favorite for finger picking). Removed that crappy looking white paper on the inside of the bowl and placed an "ovation like" rosette around the opening.....and wa-la !, looks and plays great!...btw: with the silk & steel strings and proper use of a 10 band eq pedal, it will rival my mahogany acoustic in sound, but the ovation wins for playability and classy looks. ... show more

When opening the box I heard loose parts inside of Guitar, I was able to remove but when playing I heard the A string have annoying buzz. I tried calling Ovation but North America representative, never got a call back. Very frustrated with lack of response. Not wanting to ship unit back I loosened the strings up to see if I could resolve the issue. There was no nut or washer on one side of bridge and the other side had a loose nut. Hand tighten and seems to have resolved. Still not happy with lack of response from Ovation. I do not blame the Reseller as this was factory issue. If Ovation would have called back and let me know if customer fix was proper it would have made for a more pleasant experience. I ordered a guitar I just wanted to work, the electrical system was defective. The shipper took 130$ off the refund because the original box was not returned.they did not care that the guitar was useless, obviously a scam they frequently utilize on their customers.
