  • I love it!
This guitar sounds great and plays even better. It is very sleek and comfortable to play. I was hesitant about buying a guitar online, but it came well packaged with no damage. Great guitar for the price point.

  • Sounds very thin
Comfortable shape. Really beautiful. Sounds lie playing a piece of tiin. heard it was better throuhj an amp and it could be cheap strings, but doesn't serve my needs.

  • Easy to play, incredibly comfortable, comes alive on an amp.
LOVE this guitar. Was very apprehensive about buying online but also didn't want to deal with the anxiety of shopping at a store as a not-quite-beginner-but-not-quite-intermediate musician. Arrived timely and with no damage. Was well packaged with care for the product in mind. The finish is BEAUTIFUL. I fell in love immediately. Had to adjust the action after I tuned it but once I got that settled it played like a dream. I will say this: it's a little thin unplugged. The magic happens on an amp. Absolutely beautiful sound. The built in tuner is a welcome accessory. Also worth noting: I struggle with carpal tunnel/nerve issues in both hands being in my early 40s and spending most of my career as a butcher. I have a solid body Jackson that wears me out after about two hours. I could have played this guitar all day. The wrist/hand fatigue was nothing compared to my other instrument and I'm not sure if that's because of the fretboard on the acoustic or the heavy strings/possible PM that's needed on my other guitar. Regardless - felt it was worth mentioning. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Very playable!
Love this guitar! Was a bit concerned about buying something blindly, but had positive experience with another Ibanez guitar and given the overall positive, verified reviews decided to give it a shot. I am glad I did! This guitar is very easy to play, stays in tune for a long time (of course, G string might need extra care), and I love that it is darker and not that boring traditional yellow. I also really like that you can connect to an amp or to computer, much easier to record and maybe in the future if I ever get to play at a bar that has an amp I can plug it and do my own Kurt Cobain Unplugged impression :-) I do have to say, coming from electric guitar, that the setup is a bit high, but I guess that is expected from an acoustic guitar. It also comes with medium gauge strings. I sent it for setup and asked to lower the action and change to lighter strings, looking forward to see the results! Overall great purchase, highly recommended! ... show more

  • Beautiful but damaged
I can't speak for how it sounds, it is however very nice. Unfortunately it was not handled with care during delivery and arrived broken. I ordered a few others to compare before making my final choice, but when i attempted to return the others i didnt care for, i was charged a $50 return fee, which i didnt see listed anywhere. Attempted to just do an even exchange through amazon, but it's not possible without having to contact the company directly. ... show more

  • Lovin’ it
Love the sound and look of this guitar. I have owned another ibanez for over 18 years now. It was way over due of an upgrade. Definitely enjoying the comfort while playing. Don’t have much time to get into the technicalities of this guitar. However from my experience with an ibanez, i enjoy the crisp sound that comes from them. This particular model in my opinion sounds better than my PF. Oh yeah, purchased and shipped from geartree. Came nicely packaged, already tuned with no dings or scratches. Easiest purchase made without the pressure of a sales person at a guitar store. ... show more

  • Not what they used to be
Ibanez used to make some decent quality guitars at a price that wouldn’t break the bank. Those days seem to be long gone. Out of the box & unplugged the sound quality is just… off & flat. I’m not sure how else to describe it, but it doesn’t sound like their older acoustic/electric models. Plugging it in didn’t prove to be much better as it just sounded… odd… & even more flat somehow… no matter how much I adjusted the onboard preamp settings. For reference I have a 20 year old Ibanez AE-18 acoustic/electric that sounds incredible plugged & unplugged. Having bought guitars & other instruments online in the past this has steered me to shop & buy local moving forward . I should have looked around in my city first before buying online. Also… DO NOT buy anything from Butler Music. There are better options than them. ... show more
