    • Great guitar. Documentation is lacking.
I really like this guitar. It is comfortable to play and, when connected to your phone or tablet, it is loaded with features. I enjoy the fact that it can be taken anywhere and you can stream songs through it while you strum along. And with the microphone, you can sing along. All in a small, self contained package. The Enya Music App allows you to tweek the sound of the guitar. Add reverb, WA, EQ etc. Make your own sound. My only complaint so far, is the lack of a users manual for the app. The app does so much and has so many featuers that it is necessary to have a users manual. Instead, you are left to scour the internet to find bits and pieces from some YouTube video. Enya, your guitar is great, but your documentation is lacking. I'm updating my feedback. I've used this guitar for 4 weeks now and love it. It is a great travel guitar. I can put my notebook and notebook stand in the guitar case and take it anywhere. I use the Ultimate Guitar app. This allows me to access all my songs or any song, anywhere. Great for practice or just killing a few hours. I love that I can put the case over my sholder, get on my bike, and be at my favorite park and play. I have replaced the strings with 10-46 strings and only had to do a slight truss rod adjustment. It plays great and feels like my Strat. It won't replace my other guitars, but it is very compact and comfortable to play. Also, the shorter scale length makes it easier to play. I only bought it because I knew I could send it back, but no way. I love it and I'm keeping it. Update: I've owned this NEXG guitar for 11 months. I still love it, but the battery won't take a charge and it won't stay energized for more than 1 minute. It is still under warranty. I'll see if Enya will replace it. ... show more

    • This is a toy, not a guitar.
I watched videos on YouTube that praised this thing. While i will agree that they did a great job with the neck and frets, this thing is not practical. It doesn’t sound good and it weighs way too much. Who would honestly want to carry this with them on a trip? It sounds and feels nothing like an acoustic. There is no kinetic experience for the player here. I admire the attempt. I am just annoyed that the reviewers all praised this thing as if it were a great guitar. I don’t want to bash it, bit i do want to help other avoid buying something based on the hype of marketing. There are good things. It is clever. Packaging is great. Form factor is clever. Well thought out from a design standpoint. Fit and finish were good. It took me about 1 minute to decide to return it. Sorry. I wanted to like it. I knew it was a risk. I wasn’t expecting it to sound like a boutique acoustic, but i was expecting it to sound more natural and to be light enough to be practical. ... show more

    • Smart features? Maybe, but you're left to figure it out on your own.
You WILL be frustrated!! Guitar is all around very well designed (perhaps with the exception of the rubber adapters to attach the case strap to the guitar as a playing strap. It is also very well built. However, there are absolutely NO information on HOW to use the APP with the guitar! Queries to the company has no responses. The online FAQ addresses the admin such as activating and registering the instrument, but pull up the APP on your phone, and you are on your own to figure out how to use the features in the app with the guitar. Luckily I wanted this guitar more for the travel features; carbon fiber not affected by temperature and humidity changes and the case is much more compact for traveling on the offroad trails. But as a life long technologist, never understood why a company would design a nice product, only to frustrate its customers by having absolutely zero documentation (even online is fine) for how to "enjoy" that product. ... show more

    • Don’t like Enya as a company
I love this guitar and have had it for a few months. Recently it’s started to cut off in the middle of me playing it. I’ve been trying to contact Enya for weeks now and can barely get them to respond to my warranty claim. I ended up filing a claim with the BBB and just waiting to see what comes of it. I am a disabled Iraq veteran who enjoys playing guitar, it really helps my PTSD. I think it’s pretty messed up that they would take my money and not stand behind their product. I definitely will never buy and Enya guitar ever again. ... show more
