The sound this guitar produces is amazing. It makes me want to play it more often. I've never owned a guitar with a sound quality this high. It's being used for recording and the sound that comes through on the recording is very professional. Many cheaper guitars sound cheap when you record with them. This guitar is not one of those. It sounds great on a recording. I'm talking about recording with a mic, not with the built-in electronics. I don't think any acoustic guitar sounds very good with the built-in electronics. You have to use a good quality mic. I'm really impressed with Taylor for making such a good guitar in the medium? price range. I know on the high end you can spend $5000 on a guitar. I don't know who has that kind of money to spend on a guitar. Thank you Taylor and Amazon for making this amazing guitar available. ... show more

    • Exactly what I hoped it would be
I've never purchased a guitar through Amazon before so I was worried. They did a great job shipping. The 214CE guitar arrived inside its Taylor hard case which was packed inside the Taylor factory cardboard box. No damage despite traveling over 6000 miles to reach me. The guitar itself is fine and exactly what I expected in terms of build and sound quality. No weird defects. Mirror finish. The koa has a stunning flame quality. Taylor's in-house tuners work smoothly. Neck feels good. The action is perfect for me. Good for fingerpicking and strumming. No need need for truss adjustments. I haven't plugged it in yet but I've played other guitars with the Expression system and they always sound fine. ... show more
