My son wanted a pin board so bad, but I kept reading how the classic metal pin art boards are very sharp and people are getting cut form them. And who knows what heavy metals are being used in them coming over from China. I have only read good things about the plastic versions. I was hesitant, but this one is a winner. First of all, I think because plastic is cheaper, you get a larger size from the same amount of money as the metal ones. Pins move fluidliy and hold in place really well. Kids love it and the parents get a thrill out of it too. The only complaint I have is that the darkness of the blue does not give a good enough contrast of the depth of the image unless you are in a well lit room, or outdoors. That's where the metal pins win out, but I'd rather be safe with the plastic version.

This product was cheaper at Walmart and better quality. It can be purchased for $5 there instead of paying $15, and it quality is not good.

I bought this for my son who has autism. He has lots of sensory issues and can be very difficult to buy for. Well, he absolutely loves this. He likes the color and the feel. As he is bouncing on his exercise ball, playing on the computer, he has the pin art sitting on his desk with his hand on it making different designs.

Package arrived after quick shipping. My kiddo was dying for one of these since Xmas. Some of the reviews worried me about items arriving broken and the durability but it arrived in good shape with good packaging. So far over 2 weeks its been working great and no issues with the plastic posts or the pins. I considered metal pins like the one I had as a kid but the red plastic pins have worked great and no issues with him putting it against his skin or face. Good price for a larger Pin Art vs smaller versions.

We bought it for our son but my wife and I play with it more. We like to make shapes with out hands. We just enjoy the pixelized image. Ton of fun. My wife likes it a lot. My son sort of likes it. Not much drawbacks, hard to make shapes vertically so you have to do it horizontally but when you try to prop it up the shape may change. Also, I wish it was a bit bigger- Still a great toy for both adults and kids.

The item does not appear like it will hold up well because the colored pins are thin plastic. They are also rigid and could snap easily. The concept is interesting and in the hands of an older child or adult would be OK. (I decided to put it away until my granddaughter is older.)

This game is so entertaining. Santa brought it for Christmas and my 8 year old and 4 year old love it. My husband and I enjoy playing with it too. We have had it 3 weeks and it’s not broken yet. In our house that qualifies as durable. I highly recommend it.

I bought this because it's a bit larger than most, which made my daughter happy. At 9 she is still pretty rough on toys and a pin bent the first week. She hasn't complained but I'm worried about durability. Metal pins might be a better choice, depending on the kid and the environment.
