It's only been a month but most days have been hot ones and this seems to have no problem keeping our double wide mobile home cool, it has been cooling the kitchen, dining and living room areas making them very comfortable despite poor insulation of the trailer and manages to satisfy the unit. Now the question is how long this unit can continue operating on this level, I will update in a few months - good or bad. I believe we made a good choice with this product. Time will tell. Do like that the remote control can control temperature versus the thermostat in the unit, that way the whole area gets cool and not just the area around the unit. Noise level is normal as it is a window unit , you do hear it running as expected nothing crazy & you can't expect it to be whisper quiet and still do it's job, it is a good size unit. ... show more

I needed a tiny window unit to supplement my central a/c in an upstairs bedroom. The windows were so small. I've had it about 2 years and it still works great. I haven't noticed much change in my electric bill and last summer it was on constantly upstairs. It cools great and is no louder than most window units. It doesn't weigh much so it's not stressing my window frame. My daughter slept great snuggled in a thick comforter while it was cold at nights. I was concerned because it wasn't a name brand I was familiar with,but it's been through 2 hot summers and still works great! I couldn't ask for a better price or product. Good air conditioner for bedroom. I was looking for something lightweight and this fits the bill. I have a similar size GE and it looks identical to this. Works great and we run the fan on low speed since it’s a little noisy on high.

    • It’s a good AC but had some issues…

Its a good little AC unit. But a couple of issues. I have small horizontal slider windows in the basement part of my house. It was really hard to find an AC unit that would fit a 15” wide window opening (with the frame still on). We were trying to keep the frame on so we wouldn’t have to worry about filling in so much gap space. It is important to note that the width in the image is wrong. It is NOT 15” wide. It is 16” just like the depth. We ended up just having to remove the entire window frame to make it fit. But in removing the entire window frame it left a big a gap on the sides that we had to cover with wood. The packaging is not the greatest. There was a big dent on the side and the grill in the back of the unit was somewhat smashed. The little lines on the grill were all crooked where they had been smashed. When I bought this item it was non-returnable from the seller. It is loud but it does cool. I have to turn it off at night because it is so loud. On the plus side I like that it has a timer feature. It has many modes such as cool and eco. I usually use cool mode. The eco mode was really annoying because it would constantly come on and off and the noise was loud. It gets the job done but if I had known we were just going to have to remove the window frame anyways I would have bought another brand. ... show more

    • Horrible Air Conditioner

Thought this thing was great for the first week or so. It was really cranking out the cold air. Then we woke up one morning to no AC. Checked everything out and found that the plug had blown. Not just the circuit, although it did of course blow that too, but the actual plug. When we unplugged it the whole back of the plug and outlet were black. We’re probably lucky it didn’t start a fire. It was the only thing plugged into that circuit at the time so it wasn’t a circuit over load caused by us having too many things plugged in. We called customer service and the lady was very pleasant and promised to send a replacement right away, should be here in 3 days. It actually took 8 days in the middle of a 102 degree plus heat wave in AZ. The replacement was obviously used. Cracks and dents and filter actually missing. Didn’t even bother to plug it in. Called them and told them I was returning it and wanted my money back. I went to Ace Hardware and bought a new one which is obviously what I should have done in the first place. Only thing that went right with the whole thing is that they didn’t argue about the money back and it posted to my account in 3 days instead of the up to 10 that they told me it would. ... show more

The only thing I found weird about it was the remote control doesn't seem to work properly with the unit itself, but I probably need to read the directions more. It works great, installation wasn't bad.... And I love the fact that it has a built-in dehumidifier. I tried that on a very humid day and that actually helped a lot ... show more

    • Great Unit!
Installed the 2,500 btu unit in my 1,500 sq ft shop building. Ceiling is twenty foot but insulation is 10" on walls and ceiling. This A/C unit keeps my shop at 76° without any problem even with the outside temps around 100°. Zero problems two years after purchase.
