The rating is lower due to the flimsy box this heavy order of C batteries was packaged in at the plant. The shipping package it was delivered in was fine. Batteries went flying out of the box in all directions but up as I lifted it out of the package. That isn't a great place to be getting on the cheap side. I might go back to my bunny batteries. I haven't really noticed any difference from any other batteries. I don't recall if the prices are any better or worse, but I didn't have to go out of the house to get batteries, which is nice especially in nasty winter weather.
