If you are looking for a well written polyamorous story with lots of drama, intrigue, an interesting cast of characters and steam, look no further! This book has it all! Our MFC is set for a future as a lonely spinster after her horrible aunt and uncle ship her off to the country. She was a victim of a SA (off page but discussed so possible trigger warning) and is “ruined” by society standards. On her way to exile, she is attacked by highwaymen and rescued by our band of MMCs…and Frances (she’s an awesome lesbian almost doctor…the side characters in this book are just as great as the main characters!) and must convalesce at our MMCs nearby estate. What is really great about this story is the time and attention our heroes take in helping our lady heal after her assault and reclaim her sexuality on her terms. Her sexual journey is a central component in her character growth. She starts as a bit of a damsel in distress but through the love and support of her band of rogues, becomes strong and capable and ends up rescuing herself from the villain. Each hero has their own vulnerability they must overcome but they all do it together as a solid family unit. And they all get their HEA together as well.

Someone, fetch the smelling salts! I love this book. It's a stand alone, historical story with a slow to medium burn, reverse harem twist. There's a ton (heh) of fast-paced action, swoon worthy romance, and nail biting suspense. There are even some funny parts. This story has a truly villainous antagonist or three, so things get pretty suspenseful in the middle. I wasn't sure if I would be able to get into this book at first, since I don't always enjoy historical fiction. And yeah, I started and stopped a few times, but I did eventually get sucked in at around 30%. Technically, there's nothing wrong with the beginning, but I wanted more hot loving. So it's more of a slow burn, although there's some good kissing and... Exploration. Anyway, I like all the main characters, especially the FMC Cassandra. I also enjoyed learning more about the gorgeous valet, Robert, who empathizes with her about PTSD. I liked Frederick and his slowly revealed past heartbreak. I wish there was more attention paid to Edmund, the painter and man of business. Edmund is black, so I wanted to know more about the racism that was rampant in the Regency era. Several typos - sometimes it was distracting.

This was a really fun read. I could not put it down. The chemistry between the 4 leads was sizzling from the very beginning. The author did a great job balancing between them all. The plot was fast paced and kept me reading between the very hot sex scenes. I’m love this take on a “ruined” woman in the regency era taking back her agency. A few advisories: there is mention of SA in the beginning, and later on-page physical assault and kidnapping of the heroine by the villain. It made sense in the context of the story, but may be upsetting for some readers.

So damn good from start to finish. I want so much more too. I loved ALL the drama, the proposal, the escapades, the everything. I was on the edge of my sit during that nail biting kidnapping. I clapped with the shenanigans in the gardens with Frances and the Lord. And that uncle and aunt reminded me of the Dursleys in Harry Potter, just got awful people. Fantastic read. Near more like it and definitely looking in to this author more.

I’ve read Regency romances for most of my life and this is absolutely my favorite. Terrible guardians, ridiculous rules of propriety, secret societies, duels, and forced engagements are all Regency romance standards. This book also had side characters in same sex relationships, discussions of the inherent power imbalance in a relationship when one person is wealthy and the other isn’t and how to deal with it, and a FMC in a poly relationship with 3 men.

MMFM may be shocking though sexuality is much more fluid despite the chest thumping of many supposedly straight macho males want their women to think. I should know since I am privy to many of their more supposed scandalous fantasies. The openness of our main characters is refreshing and I’m just a sucker for regency romance HEA that’s witty, sexy and above rich in charm and emotions.

I very much enjoyed this, the characters were fun and unique and the plot was entertaining. Sometimes it’s nice to read something without a bunch of serious drama and this book was just the ticket.
