I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. So far these have survived going through an Alaska winter. Normally my batteries in my thermostat in my RV go over the winter time and these actually survived. I have purchased some bulk Amazon brand batteries, but typically they go bad before I use them all. These seem to be able to handle the extreme temperatures, but have no firsthand experience with longevity. No doubt considerably more expensive than standard brands, but I think will last at least twice as long.

These are outstanding batteries, if becoming hard to find in retail stores, because they last so long in continuous use, so unit sales are slow! Far more economical than alkaline or "advanced" formula replaceable batteries I use these "Ultimates" in a medical device (pump) because of their outstanding longevity, reliability, extreme power density, and superior power curve characteristics as compared to all other types of conventional disposable (AAA to D) batteries. No more limping along with low battery alarms and limited (power-conserving) functionality for days, as with worn-out alkalines whose voltage slowly fades away along with the current. (Think of a dying flashlight with which you had to put up continuously for a couple of days!) Full power (voltage) persists until just hours before collapse when used in low-but-constant-drain electronic applications. If these batteries have charge left, they act just like a new battery. When they are out of juice, they just stop, with just enough warning to grab a new battery. (Think of an engine running out of fuel.) These are what conventional (non-specialty) batteries always should have been!

I purchased these particular batteries for a laser pointer I use at work to point out things on the ceiling as well as getting a kick out of watching people frantically scan the room to figure out who the heck is shining a laser on them. Well my laser pointer is cracked out. The thing drains Duracell batteries faster than my ex wife drained my 401(k). Once they arrived (the very next day mind you) I carefully installed them inside of the laser pointer per the instructions that came with the batteries. After all safety checks were met, I engaged the switch to activate the laser beam. To my horrifying amazement, the laser burned through my ceiling up to the second floor of my condo where I had been stock piling horse teeth for a uni project. Once Russia invaded Ukraine I was approached by Ukrainian special forces whom which kindly but sternly asked for my immediate assistance. For weeks I’ve been staying in a roomy 4x6’ foxhole with 30 tubs of C4 pre workout, 3 crates of Raisin Bran cereal and the complete discography of Rage Against the Machine on tape and the Ukrainian government was generous enough to give me a Walkman and the 1987 summer edition of Hustler magazine. All the while I’ve been lasering aircraft and missiles out of the air all day and sometimes all night and I haven’t even had to change the batteries yet. Which is good because I wasn’t able to bring them with me on the flight.
