  • Don’t waste your money!
These batteries don’t work. I don’t know if they’re old, or counterfeit but either way don’t waste your money. I bought them for use in my car key fobs. When the first didn’t work, I tried two more of them and they didn’t work either. I swapped them into another fob and again they all failed. I wound up getting new ones at a local store and they worked great so these are now in the trash. ... show more

  • I tested the battery and indeed it was already bad. I replaced it with the second battery from ...
I bought these batteries from JGEnterprise (I thought I'm buying from Amazon though), and something is wrong with them. I replaced the battery in my car remote and it lasted for 1.5 months before my car showed the notification to replace the battery again. I tested the battery and indeed it was already bad. I replaced it with the second battery from the pack, and after the same 1.5 month I got the same notification that the battery needs to be replaced. I tested it to find out that the second battery was already bad too. I'm very surprised that Energizer brand batteries have such a short life. I've never had an issue with Energizer batteries before. The only thing that comes to my mind is that these batteries are not original products. I do not have another way to verify this hypothesis but after reading a couple of articles on numerous fake products that find their ways to Amazon marketplace, I tend to think that I probably fell this time for such a product. ... show more

  • No dates. Short life.
Great value, but short life. There's no dates on the packaging so it's a guessing game on the expiration date. I've had these less than a month and use them in small LED lights. They don't last long compared to buying them locally. I've already used half of them in less than 3 weeks. Would not buy again. ... show more

  • No expiration date found and first battery died in three days
I cannot find any expiration date for these batteries. That's not good. How would I know how old they are ? I got two packs of 5 batteries. I started using one of batteries two days ago for a keyless go car key. It worked initially but after a few days, the battery has run out ! I had to put in my backup old Maxell battery, which is to expire in 2020, and the back up battery works fine. I suspect the batteries I got have very little stored energy left. I just put in a second battery from the packs. I'll see how it goes. ... show more

  • A pretty good value but make sure you buy from a reliable seller
UPDATE: On further questioning of the seller I was finally given the date code for the batteries I received: "The ECR2025 batteries have the code “DI” JULY 2016." I don't know how the code is supposed to be deciphered by a customer, but the seller should be able to tell you if you contact them if your code differs from the code that was on my strips of batteries. The seller also claims that the shelf life is 8 years which contradicts what Energizer told me. This is a review of Energizer CR2025 3V Lithium Coin Battery 10 Pack (2 packs of 5). I purchased these from the seller "The Perfect Deals." Many people, including myself, are wondering why there is no expiration, or more accurately a "Best if used by" date on these battery packs. After several emails to the Energizer company, I have discovered that these 5 battery strips are not meant for retail sale. They are made and marketed to institutional buyers. As such, these don't have a conventional BIUB (best if used by) date on them. Rather, they have a two digit code that does not resemble a date and that is in fact the expiration date. I was also told by Energizer that these should have a shelf life of 10 years. I have uploaded a photo showing what is supposed to be the BIUB code. It looks like "DI" in the right hand corners of each blister pack. You can also see that the copyright date is 2016. So an assumption... the batteries might be good up until 2026 (which is kind of hard to believe) since Energizer told me they should have a shelf life of 10 years. Again, this speculation on my part. I have no idea what the "DI" translates too. So although I am not exactly pleased that this seller is selling at retail a product that is not supposed to be sold individually at retail according to Energizer they are significantly less expensive than buying the typical retail one or two packs that you see in stores. I measured the voltage in each of the 5 cells in one of the strips. 4 of the 5 had voltages slightly over 3 volts, That's the good news. The bad news is that one of the cells measured slightly less than 3 volts. In spite of the lower voltage of one of the cells, these are still a pretty good deal. You do have to make sure you are buying them from a reliable seller with a good track record or you could end up with either a counterfeit battery, or a much older battery. ... show more

  • Tested 5 out of the 10, all 2.1v and one was 1.5v
Since these are batteries, I tested the first one before using it for my speakers remote. It came in at 2.1 volts. So I kept opening one at a time from the blister pack, after testing five of the batteries, all were 2.1 volts, except one that was 1.5 volts. This is completely unacceptable. Will never buy from this seller again. I stand by this because since they are batteries, it is exceptionally hard to send in the mail these days. I understand its possible to get a bad one in the bunch, but looking over the reviews, I am far from alone in this problem. ... show more

  • Thesed batteries will prevent WW III
They turn me on or rather, they turn on my key fob. Key fobs are fundamental to any civilized society. They are convenient, reduce frustration and studies have shown that they reduce the crime rate and Improve social comity. Before buying these batteries, my key fob did not work. Alas. I was angry and briefly considered a meaningless act of benign civil disobedience. Instead, I uttered a mild oath, suitable for the ears of a 4 year old, under my breath. As an optimist and a maker, I decided to take action. I immediately raced to the supermarket to purchase batteries. Once more I was faced with outrage, this time at the price for 1 battery. Turning to Amazon, I found these batteries which were delivered the next day. Bravo Amazon and merchant! Ten for about $5. The price was right, they were quickly delivered as promised and they work well! Outstanding product and merchant! ... show more

  • Batteries with no date on them .... not good
The price was cheap enough I'm not gonna try and return these. Tried two the the batteries in my car key fob and my car still messages "replace battery" ... I have no idea how old these batteries are as there is no use by date in them at all. Avoid these batteries, super cheap in a big pack, and go with a real name brand that costs more ... cause you get what you pay for in this case. ... show more
