But be ready to handle a very heavy item after the batteries are inserted! Wow! It’s doing what I bought it to do, nonetheless. I had a dark laundry space that when the doors are open, it is impossible to get things done because it faces away from the window light, and then there’s a big light that flips on too brightly, and is too much when ppl are trying to relax in the living room area. This illuminates beautifully! It stays in as long as you’re in front of it and has quite the range detection for motion, but only stays on about 20 seconds without any motion. This light worked better than I thought it would. Don’t do what I did and put the batteries in it try test it laying it down on a table. That does not work! I mounted it on the side wall in our small closet and it work perfectly. The light shuts off in about 10 seconds. We have a small utility closet, no light, no power. One day my wife asks me to put a light in it. Since I don't want to be changing batteries every other day I bought one in June of 2023 and have yet to replace the batteries. Almost every single time we open this closet both of us think (or say outloud) 'This light is awesome!' It is not that bright at only 300 lumens but the motion sensor works great, the batteries last a LONG time and it gives plenty of light for a small closet. I bought another one for a friend who has a small bathroom under their staircase with no electrical in it so your choices our leave the door open or use the toilet in pitch black. Let me start off by saying this little light is actually pretty bright. It also doesn’t turn on when theirs a lot of natural light in the room which saves energy!! I am loving this light and definitely would buy another. It’s bright, it’s easy to install (I recommend using drywall screws to install) and hopefully the batteries last long. I read a review on here that it just starts to get dim which means you need to replace the batteries, which is actually nice since I wouldn’t one day want my light to not turn on at all, that’s a fantastic indicator for me. So far so good. If you are contemplating needing some light in your home but don’t want to bother with hardwire insulation I would suggest this little gadget. ... show more

Hung it up in my attic. You need to walk up to it and wave your hand in front of it to make it go on. Then it goes off in about a minute unless you're doing jumping jacks.
