As someone who frequently uses both USB-A and USB-C devices, I recently purchased a USB-A to USB-C cable for charging and transferring data. Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of the cable and would highly recommend it to others. One of the first things I noticed about this cable was its high build quality. I only really needed one for my MacBook Pro, but two is better since this is the same price as others. Little tip if you plan to use this with a usb adapter and use a stand of any kind, use a Velcro strip to secure it - it will be a little annoying dangling.

What I hate about Apple is that every time they come out with a new product, they change things so the cords you used with the older product no longer work, and you have to get new ones, but using this adapter saved me from that!

Most of the USB A to C adapters that I have seen are tiny little things that just fit over the USB A plug -- which seems like a great concept, until you notice that you can't fit two of them side by side on a Macbook Pro, because the ports are spaced for type C plugs, not type A. This adapter finally solves the problem: the bit that plugs into the computer is the size of a regular type C plug. The type A part is far enough away that it's out of the way and not blocking the other port.
