There is nothing whatsoever wrong with the Energizer rechargeable batteries. I've used them hundreds of times on my bike light. They work perfectly. There is a big misunderstanding about using the chargers. You must place the batteries SIDE BY SIDE and use one of the two ends on the 4 battery chargers. Also, you CANNOT charge a single battery in the 4 battery chargers, only in sets of twos. Also note, these batteries have a charging power of 850mAh. You can find Energizer batteries with a strength as high as 900mAh but the difference is so slight you will not know the difference. I recharge batteries each time I return from taking my bike out for a long ride to make sure they are at full strength and have not had a single issue with Energizer batteries. A few years ago, the Energizer customer service did not even know about how to PROPERLY use the rechargers after I initially thought the device was not working properly, similar to the other reviewer, until I figured out how to use it.

I use these along with the Nitecore D4 smart charger and they work great. My last set I have been using for 3 years, with regular recharges. I've been expecting to have to replace them for 2 years now, but WOW! If I get a year out of these I'll be happy, but 3 plus years? They charge quick, hold a decent charge when stored for a month, and last about average as regular non-rechargeables. Only thing I notice with rechargeables is that, with a headset, when the battery gets low, there's minimal to no warning before it cuts out, where as with non-rechargeables there is plenty of low battery warning, it doesn't just cut right out like the rechargeables. Regardless, these batteries work great and hold a good charge.

This came as a surprise to me! These are listed as 2300mAh rechargeable AAA batteries well they are 1/3 of that. Right on the package, it says 800mAh! I have several chargers that test and record what batteries actually hold. Of the two sets, I purchased one battery tested to 836 mAh the other 3 about 815 mah each. I have bought a lot of rechargeables batteries and except for these I have never gotten close to the rated power listed on the package. Normally, I would have probably done more research but being Energizer Rechargeable AAA Batteries and being advertised and sold by Amazon I let it go. I guess I should have known better? One might say send them back! But I bought them in a package deal for either 6 or 12 months with no interest payments. Knowing myself it was just over what I needed. So I'm not sure sending them back would end the payments or not. Having dealt with Amazon and feeling they would bend over backwards for the customer but now with this Covid 19 problem, I have my doubts? Having been told by one agent "I don't care what the AD says" telling me a senior citizen that a replacement garbage disposal was going to take a month to ship. AND IT HAS. Ordered the 5 of last month and arrives on the 6th of this month. With all that time still part of the order will be late. Remember Seniors need to be extra careful and are supposed to be prioritized per Amazon? So, just imagine a month without a garbage disposal? I don't have to imagine!
