Software install on iPhone fast and easy. App connects to your Wi Fi. Cable connects to your phone. Camera comes on immediately, and video appears in the app. Picture is clear. You can choose color or black/white. You can also adjust brightness. Camera cable is stiff enough to push, and flexible enough to make bends. Probably too stiff to push through p-trap in a sink, but maybe useful for larger pipes - possibly a toilet. Instructions say it is not heat resistant, so if looking inside an engine, cool down would be necessary. Overall, very nice, especially for twenty bucks, at time of purchase.

This was purchased for the specific purpose of monitoring my water usage by seeing inside a locked closet in my apartment. The louvers in the door are spaced far enough apart to slip the endoscope through. Of course, I had to use a wire coat hanger to provide enough stiffness to enable the camera to stand erect and for me to maneuver it easily enough to locate the meter and photograph the dial. This could save me some real money on water bills and ensure that what I'm being charged is from meter readings and not an invention. I plan to check my auto fluids, hoses, belts, and undercarriage for leaks and aging. Then, there’s a closet full of junk that could be hiding valuable items way in the back. Oh, yes, the meter digital display is completely legible in the pictures. The software works well enough and is hassle-free.

I had a wireless scope but the company that made it closed the app, therefore making it a wireless piece of trash. Also It required a battery pack to connect it too and to send a bluetooth signal. I wanted a wired scope that I could put directly into my phone. This was super easy to set up and is very simple to take pics or videos with. It has three different cable end plugs. I used the lightning cable plug and had no problem with it. I took the first picture with my phone, and the next four with the endoscope. The distance and brightness of the lighting play into how clear the pics are. This can even be used to look under doors and into other rooms. It's quite cool for the price point. Hopefully the app stays up and functional so this too doesn't become a relic.

2 minutes into trying to use the product told me that I was going to spend all my time trying to get a stable Wi-Fi connection. It's got a perfectly good USB-C connection but no it doesn't use it for the video signal. You have to fiddle with the Wi-Fi settings on your phone to get the connection and then it drops it 30 seconds later. The product is unusable. The good news is you get an excellent picture for the few seconds that you get it. Then you're back to fiddling with Wi-Fi connections. Edit: it's picture is good and its price is low and so I decided to give it another chance. I found that if you power the camera by putting the USB port into a charger then you get a much more stable operation. It holds the Wi-Fi. My phone is b***** about connecting to a Wi-Fi that cannot support internet connection, which of course the camera does not, and that makes it get into a tizzy. You can also run the camera using two phones. One providing the USB power and the other connecting to the camera over the Wi-Fi. So I figured out how to make it work and I'm canceling my return. I'm leaving the one star review to get your attention but if you're willing to put with the Wi-Fi shenanigans it seems like a useful product.
