  • Fantastic shoe, questionable sizing.
Size: 11 Color: Army Green
I’ve only had these shoes for a few weeks but I can say they are very comfortable and seem pretty durable. They’re nearly as comfortable as a pair of house slippers and I literally wear them everywhere. My first pair was the black color with the brown soles and I loved them so much I ordered the green pair for variety. The only issue I had was that the sizing was quite different between the two pairs. I’m a size 10.5 and WHITIN recommended sizing down if you’re between. The black pair I ordered a size 10 and they fit absolutely perfect. I then ordered a size 10 in green and they were uncomfortably small even though it’s the same shoe/style. I sent back the 10 in exchange for an 11 and the 11 fits perfect. I really do love these shoes and will likely order more in the future. The only bummer is that I’ll probably have to just order both sizes and return the one that doesn’t fit. I hate the extra hassle but the shoe and the price are great. ... show more

  • Perfect Fit
Size: 9 Color: Army Green
I gifted these to a friend. He had a pair of the toe shoes we called them. He deviated that they were breaking down and tearing at the soul. So I got him these as a replacement for the time being. And he absolutely loves these he says they are so comfortable and wants more pairs in different colors. Lord help me. At least I know where to go to get him more and future gifts. Got love a picky man, lol. But yes they look very nice and according to him one of the most comfortable pair of shoes he has ever worn. And loves the color choice, material, and weight of the shoes, he uses them for workouts so it is very flexible as well. Definitely ordering him other colors in future purchases. ... show more

  • Very comfortable and durable
Size: 9 Color: Black
Bought this pair over 5 months ago and still wear them. Best purchase I’ve made. Due to the fact my feet were actually spreading apart which is good since your feet spread more bare. My feet are fairly wide and I struggle wearing other trendy shoes due to having wide feet. They are perfect for your daily walk or jog. As far running I’m getting that full barefoot experience without having to take off my shoes. Definitely requires getting used to before running if you are new to it. They broke in well and secured to my feet. One thing to note about these is the grip on these shoes. I would not recommend wearing these in the rain. I had multiple times where I almost slipped on a smooth surface. While on concert it isn’t as bad but you will feel a bit unstable running or walking. As for using these at the gym they are decent just not the best for squats or deadlifts. Since I catch myself having to fix my leg positioning due slightly slipping. Maybe it’s due to lifting heavy, like anything above 300lb would be the limit. Overall very good shoes gives your feet enough space while secured and no issues having any blisters. Theres definitely some improvement my foot arch. I have a really flat feet and I just been loving it since. If you want something affordable; this pair is definitely the one! ... show more

  • Not a bad hiking shoe, but can't take serious beatings
Size: 11 Color: Orange
I got a pair of these a year back for a water based hike. Out of the box, the appearance was much better than I thought. The red pops, it is comfortable when walking (considering its a thinner sole etc.), light weight and great overall design. In terms of the hike, it feared well, considering that I go a bit too far at times when testing my gear (part of the sole cracked, but that was to be expected). The grip is better than using a generic shoe for a hike or trail run, but understandably nothing spectacular considering I came from a Saloman Speedcross 4. I appreciated the detachable sole and breathable material used in the construction of the shoe, which is very easy to clean. My only issue was the sizing, it was a bit too large for my feet, but not bad. Could be better tho. Overall, if you are doing light trail walks or hikes, stay clear of water if possible, but it can handle it if need be. It has been a great back up shoe and I would recommend it to anyone looking to begin barefoot trail running. ... show more

  • Great shoe for the price. Will buy again!
Size: 9 Color: Black
All in all, it's a great shoe for the price and I intend to continue buying from Whitin! Pros: 1) Minimalist and zero-drop 2) Comfortable 3) Durable (put 400 running miles on them and probably have another 100 miles of tread left on them) 4) Wide toe box 5) Looks cool (at least I think so) 6) Cheap! Purchased for $42. Cons: 1) Heavy (much heavier than my Merrell VaporGloves) 2) Not a true barefoot shoe in my opinion, but very minimalist and a good transition shoe 3) Laces broke on first day (laces popped out of the Velcro connector, but still functions fine. Just a small annoyance). 4) More expensive than other barefoot shoes on Amazon (but worth the cost in my opinion). ... show more

  • 6 Month Shoes (You Get What You Pay For)
Size: 10 Color: Black
I've gone through two pairs of these shoes, and I must say they fit nice and are good imitators of more expensive brands. They are comfortable, fit well, and I like the velcro straps. Style wise, I am not a huge fan of how the rubber of the sole comes up and 'caps' the toes. Looks kind of weird. I can't tell you the amount of people that thought I was wearing 'toe shoes', like Vibram popularized. I just stopped correcting people after a while. The downside is, you get what you pay for. Both pairs of my Whitins expired right around the 6 month landmark. I used them for some light running, exercise, every day stuff, and sometimes took them in the water or mud, but nothing too serious. They just start to fall apart. The soles start to come unglued from the rest of the shoe, and in both pairs this began to happen a couple months in, but only really became an issue after 6 months. I suppose I could have worn them a little longer, but they were dilapidated. If you can pay twice as much for a pair of Vivo Barefoot shoes, I would highly recommend. Coming up on one year and the Vivo is still going strong, so, it's at least as good value wise as these shoes. In summary, fine way to ease myself into the barefoot realm, but there are much better shoes out there. ... show more
