I like this nightlight, I bought it to potentially help soothe an anxious dog and also illuminate a large room enough to walk through without an overhead light. TBD on long term calming effect (off to a good start) but it’s pretty enough to keep plugged in anyway. Reminds me of the effect of the lights in a pool at night with the water rippling. Not mentioned in other reviews I read (and maybe mine is defective) but it does make a ticking sound as it rotates, not horrible but if you’re a lights-only silent sleeper it would be noticeable. ... show more

It has been plugged in for a year. It is bright, durable, and easy to use. The light effect itself is calming, however, it does make a slight grinding noise after the first month. It was good value for the money, I use it on the non-rotation function now.

Amazing lights. Puts a water effect on my whole ceiling. Lots of settings to play around with colors and brightness. I have two and the one upstairs is closer to the ground than the one in the picture and still lights the whole ceiling. Very cool! My one peeve is that they are so big they take up an entire outlet. My solution was to get one of those outlet splitters to make the device stick out further so I could plug something else in the second outlet. Edit: changing from 5 to 3 stars because sometimes the little motor inside the light that spins around to make the aurora effect makes an audible grinding noise. Both of the lights I bought do this. It’s very annoying. I don’t want to hear my night light… Second Edit: The noise has gotten worse. I can’t even use the spinning function anymore. I’ll still use it since it still projects a pattern on the ceiling and cycles through colors fine. Very frustrating ... show more
