    • Does what it says it does!
Color: Grey
Honestly I think the bad reviews are from people expecting it to work as well as a giant built-in hood. It doesn't. But it DOES catch oil and it does reduce smell significantly. I would recommend it and would buy it again. Feels quality and is just the right size, it isn't too big to look obnoxious on the counter but any smaller and it probably wouldn't work well. I feel like it's the right price for the item as well. Usually I run it on the 3 setting with a window open but it does work on a lower setting and it works with a window closed. You can see the smoke going into it so you can tell if it's too far or too close. ... show more

    • Does the job
Color: Grey
Does the job. It does not make miracles. I love it because it picks up most of the food smells.

    • Good power!
Color: Grey
Purchased this after replacing my Jenn-Air cooktop (with built in exhaust) with a standard control. Since it's located in my island, having an above mounted exhaust wasn't economically possible. This little guy pulls the steam and disperses it. I've had no smoke, but believe it'll handle the job. Had ordered it from Lowe's on sale for $89 and then found the same one for under $55. Immediately cancelled that Lowe's order!!! It's not too large and is relatively quiet. ... show more

    • Not odor eliminating
Color: Silver Grey
Noise level and smoke containment was as described; however, it did not meet the exception of odor removal. My home still filled with the scent of the food item I cooked, which was the main reason I purchased this item.

    • Great until it stopped working a month later
Color: Grey
This thing worked great for the first 15 to 20 uses and then just completely stopped working. Very disappointing to spend $60 on an item for it’s only work for a month.

    • Can't believe this works
Color: Silver Grey
It doesn't get rid of the smell, but it definitely helps a lot with the smoke.

    • Empava portable vent
Color: Grey
It’s very effective at sucking the moisture from cooking but not as good at pulling oil from the air. Also the filters break down quickly. It definitely keeps the kitchen cooler when cooking.
